Historia
An embittered dog walker obsessed with a social media influencer inadvertently puts a curse on a young man - and must adventure into a mysterious dimension in order to save him - in this wildly inventive, delightfully subversive, genre-nonconforming debut novel about illusion, magic, technology, kinship, and the emergent future.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Hypersexuality of female lead with male author
Revisado: 01-04-18
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I think maybe creepy dudes that want to think of a hypersexual female lead character?
What was most disappointing about Andy Weir’s story?
Again, the hypersexuality of the female character. It was literally disturbing. Between all of the unnecessary side comments he writes in, as well as how he continually talks about her sex life and body image ... topping it off with her getting in a "cat-fight" with another female. Disgusting. It would be different if this book was about a prostitute, or it added ANY value to the half-baked storyline ... but it didn't.
What does Rosario Dawson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I think it was nice to develop that image of the character right away, but could be seen as a drawback. She did a great job of keeping the characters separate.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Complete revulsion.
Any additional comments?
Andy Weir and his editors need a wake-up call ... this was horrible. I would NOT recommend this.
