When Alice TodHunter Moon was five years old, she saw a beautiful golden Dragon Boat fly over her PathFinder village. She knew at once that the boat was Magykal. That was years ago, before her mother died, her father disappeared at sea, and the Garmin took her best friend, Ferdie. Now it's up to Tod and Ferdie's brother Oskar to rescue Ferdie from the Garmins' keeper, the malevolent Lady.

Narrator vs. narrator.
Revisado: 01-23-15
After finishing the Septimus Heap series, I was excited to start the PathFinder series. The story itself was good, but after listening to Gerard Doyle, I was slightly disappointed with the narrator on this story. Though she was good and the story was from a young girls point of view, I still feel it would have been good listening to Gerard Doyle narrate.

Historia
It was a horror movie that turned into real horror—three young actors lost their lives while the camera rolled. Production stopped, and people claimed that the movie was cursed. Sixty years later, new actors are venturing onto the haunted set. In a desperate attempt to revive their failing studio, Claire's dad has green-lit a remake of Mayhem Manor—and Claire and her friends are dying to be involved. At first, Claire laughs at Jake's talk of ghosts and curses. He's been too busy crushing on her best friend Delia to notice that she's practically been throwing herself at him.

Is it worth 1 credit?
Revisado: 09-11-13
What made the experience of listening to A Midsummer Night's Scream the most enjoyable?
I very much enjoyed A Midsummer Night's Scream. The downside is that it is such a short "read."
Who was your favorite character and why?
It's hard to pick one favorite character. All of them were great.
Have you listened to any of Brittany Pressley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't listened to any other Brittany Pressley's other performances.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not really.
Any additional comments?
I did like the story, just with it being so short as compared to many other stories I have listened to, it seemed to me like a waste of a credit. Again, a good "read" though.

Historia
A gruesome murder in London reveals a sinister plot to uncover a two-thousand-year-old secret. For decades, the Keepers guarded these Hallows, keeping them safe and hidden and apart from each other. But now the Keepers are being brutally murdered, their prizes stolen, the ancient objects bathed in their blood. Now, only a few remain. With her dying breath, one of the Keepers convinces Sarah Miller, a practical stranger, to deliver her Hallow—a broken sword with devastating powers—to her American nephew, Owen.

Not what was expected
Revisado: 09-11-13
What did you like best about The Thirteen Hallows? What did you like least?
I liked that the 13 Hallows of England do exist and the writers we able to incorporate that at the end.
I didn't like how gruesome the story was. It was not what I had expected by reading the synopsis.
What could Michael Scott and Colette Freedman have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
It would have been more enjoyable if a few details of the Keepers deaths were less graphic.
Have you listened to any of Kate Reading’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not listened to Kate Reading's other performances before.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Maybe. If they were to do it not showing the gruesome murders of the Keepers.
