Glad I didn’t listen to all the griping about the narrator!
Revisado: 11-17-22
I would have missed a great story! Not sure what people were expecting, but I had no issue with how the story was narrated. I found tone of voice and the emotions were present in Tyler’s voice as he was depicting a character who obviously had trouble expressing himself! This was great in both story AND performance.

Enjoyed this retelling...
Revisado: 04-03-13
I'll admit it, I'm a historical fiction junkie. I've read and enjoyed all of Philippa's books and this one didn't disappoint me. I may not be the most discerning of listeners in this area and so she gets a lot of leeway from me, but I did like it and would recommend it.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Not the usual King fare, but enjoyable nonetheless
Revisado: 04-03-13
I have been a longtime reader of King and enjoy about 98% of all his work. That being said, I have a large spectrum, from books I love (Dark Tower, Cell, the Shining, Talisman, to name a few), to ones that are good (Dreamcatcher), to those that are OK (Lisey's Story). This one hovers between good and OK. I am willing to put up with a lot from King--I did read From A Buick 8 and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, after all--and so I joined him on this foray into the past to address one of the more common time machine plots. It was an alright journey, with hints of a broader machine beyond the immediate question of saving JFK, but just hints. I enjoyed it, but not nearly as much as some of his others.
