Historia
They say that only truck drivers experience the true grandeur and landscape of America. In A Trucker's Tale, Ed Miller gives an inside look at the allure of the work and the colorful characters who haul our goods on the open road. He shares what it was like to grow up in a trucking family, his experience as an equipment officer in Vietnam, and the trials and tribulations of life as a trucker. His tales are often funny, sometimes sad, cringeworthy, or unbelievable. Many are the results of what he calls "just plain stupidity."

A new appreciation for Truckers
Revisado: 10-31-23
I’m not quite sure why I chose this book but I’m glad I did. We forget how important our Truckers are. I am from Old Fort NC and travel Old Fort Mtn often just like the author. We need to respect Truckers for their countless hours of delivering our needs and keeping products on the shelves and supplies in warehouses. I never gave it a thought of the difficulties and hardships of Truck Drivers. This book was a learning lesson and also an enjoyment to read. I recommend this book to anyone that just likes reading for entertainment or learning. Great reading from start to finish.

Historia
Lewis Madigan is young, gay, out of work, and getting antsy when he’s roped into providing end-of-life care for his insufferable homophobic neighbor, Chester Wheeler. Lewis doesn’t need the aggravation, just the money. The only requirements: run errands, be on call, and put up with a miserable old churl no one else in Buffalo can bear. After exchanging barbs, bickering, baiting, and pushing buttons, Chester hits Lewis with the big ask. Lewis can’t say no to a dying wish.

Completely awesome
Revisado: 01-04-23
I love all her books. Fantastic from start to finish. This book was worth the wait. It’s a story that’s hard to put down as the characters are so different and capture some people that may be in your own life. I was also drawn in by the narrators voice. Its one of those books you don’t want to end as the storyline is wonderful. The end of the book does not leave you hanging or disappoint.

Say what????
Revisado: 05-25-21
Totally awesome!!! This brings a lot of laughter but at the same very sad. It was an eye open for me, a retired teacher from a very small town..
What has happened to our black youth, what has happened to the Parents?
We all need to help children learn understanding, love, respect, and responsibility . These Characteristics need to be taught.
It also a heartwarming story that shows what can happen when people care.
