Is there a copy editor for Audible Books

As much as I love listening to books on Audible (for over ten years and 300 titles in my Library) of the continuing annoyance is when the reader/narrator mispronounces a word. This was particularly egregious by the reader, Timothy Andres Pabon, of The Path to Paradise. Here are a couple of his errors: Marin (accent should be on the second syllable), Cimino (the "Ci" should be pronounced as the Italian "chi" not "si"), tromp l'oeil (cannot recall how he read it but it wasn't close to the French), and finally and the most repeated and irritating of the errors, Warner Bros., which he over and over again pronounced as Warner bros (or broz) instead of saying Warner Brothers which is what Bros. stands for. I haven't had a chance to check the text of the book and indeed if Wasson wrote Warner Bros. as Warner Bros then Pabon is somewhat off the hook. But I have never ever heard the studio, Warner Brothers, referred to as Warner "Bros".

So who is looking out for the listener at Audible? I've had some books published (non-fiction), and the copy editors I worked with were amazing and totally helpful in correcting the errors. I assume someone in production should be in charge of this? If anyone at Audible reads this, I'd love to get a response.

Best performance ever!

I’ve listened to over 250 audible.com books in nine years and David Linski’s performance of Flanagan’s great and latest novel stands out as perhaps the best I’ve ever experienced. ‘Nuff said.

Poor Choice as an Audible Book

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone who could listen to the audiobook but have regular access to the PDF figures.

Would you ever listen to anything by Walter Isaacson again?

Yes but I would choose more carefully

What does Alfred Molina bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His accent added some "class" to the book but his English accent didn't always conform to the American pronunciations

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. I liked Issacson's Einstein book.

Any additional comments?

Simply this book referred to figures in the PDF constantly and in some detail. In not having access to the PDF figures (while driving) detracted much from long sections of the book.

He's got some good points but believes too much in the markets for everything and there's some hubris making its appearance regularly in his writing.

Pompous author

This book was a disappointment. I had heard the author on NPR and I thought his points were both novel and interesting. I listened to the book and between the words and the narrator's style I heard a persistently snide and pompous viewpoint of the world and particularly of people who disagreed with the author. This was quite off putting to me and eventually I only listened to half the book. I did go to the very end hoping to hear some suggestions for living with the knowledge of The Black Swan but received nothing very specific. I cannot recommend this book to others.
