Fantastic stories, thoroughly enjoyable collection

These stories are compelling and beautifully written. I finished listening, and then immediately began again. I doubt I have the capacity to describe how well written they are. The quality of the phrasing and robust descriptions are something I rarely see anymore with modern writers. The stories are easy to follow, with lots of twists and turns and none are easy to predict where exactly they are going and how they will end.

I feel lucky to have found this collection, so many thought provoking situations that I end up thinking about in different times and through various real life interactions.

There's a lot of humor in there as well, and the narrators keep everything lively. Highly recommended!

This is my favorite audiobook

I listen to this book more often than any other in my huge Audible library. The information is a perfect mix of entertainment and education. The author goes deep enough into each topic to make it worthwhile for those who know a bit more than average about physics and chemistry, yet not so far to be boring to those who are just starting out.

Sean Runnette is an excellent narrator who helps the book move right along at the perfect pace.

Would you listen to Exponential Apocalypse again? Why?

Oh yes, I'm sure I will as there are plenty of things I probably missed the first time through.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Exponential Apocalypse?

The "morning after" awkward conversation was hilarious and well written. Also "are we there yet?" I'm not sure why I found that part so funny, but I truly did laugh out loud at all of that.

Which character – as performed by Lee Ann Howlett – was your favorite?

She does such an excellent job with Thor!!! Her droll intonation matches exactly to how I imagine Thor to be after transitioning from the exciting life of a mystical god into an existence that lacks....a lot...of everything.

If you could take any character from Exponential Apocalypse out to dinner, who would it be and why?

It would be Thor and I would both pay and do the ordering. Answer too short, word word.

Glad I picked this up and took a chance even though it had no reviews at the time. It's a fast fun listen.

Interesting things happen.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Once and Future King?

Oh I just loved it every time the Questing Beast made an appearance.

What about Neville Jason’s performance did you like?

What an amazing performance! He had unique voices for all the characters, and carried them consistently throughout, as the characters aged and matured their voice characterization evolved without changing into something unrecognizable. His narration was lively and intelligent, and he mastered many accents and even a bit of singing. I had to pause on many occasions, just stunned by how much he added to the story. I'm so glad I chose this one in audiobook format.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

It's not the same old story, it's so much more.

This set is entertaining and family friendly - although it's not a children's book, there isn't much that could be considered too offensive (I don't know, ages 8+ maybe 10+). It's inventive, beautifully written and superbly narrated. It's good enough to lure a teenager away from their video games because they become genuinely interested in what happens next.
