Historia
In this book, Joni unveils the God whom she has found to be faithful through over 30 years as a paralytic. This is not the story of a woman who has all the answers or who is very different from you. Joni struggles with the same fears, questions, and heartaches we all have in common. But as the weeks and months turn into years and the years into decades, she meets her Savior at every turn.

Life Changing!
Revisado: 06-28-24
What a journey ! I listened to this over this last week and have so many take away moments still swirling in my head!! From the innocent vulnerable childhood where Joni is enraptured by her father and shares so many childhood historical memories to the honest look back at her teenage struggles and then as God began building his trust in her life, ..she takes you to places and ministry events that are eye opening.
This is definitely a must read !
one of those stories that you will reflect on and be glad that you heard !
Joni gives all the glory to our Lord for the tremendous struggles that she goes through and the life-changing experiences that shape her beautiful soul. Even her recollections of her moms, failing health and struggle with dementia are takeaways moments that we can all draw close to. I recommend listening to this!

Painful Narration- made a very interesting account almost crippling to listen to!
Revisado: 06-20-24
I love listening to Joni. I love her books. I love her devotionals. I love that Ken is a man of integrity, and that he is very transparent as he shares some very real struggles in their marriage journey.
The flashbacks to early years sometimes became very confusing .
Her continual elevation of her husband was sometimes pretty repetitive, but it’s nice to hear that adoration towards a spouse-( again it could’ve been the narrator)-He almost whispers the story as though he’s trying to enunciate a story book to a three year old !
(it was horrible)-I almost stopped listening to it. I was relieved when Joni and Ken give a little talk at the end.

Historia
Sheila Webb expected to find a respectable blind lady waiting for her at 19 Wilbraham Crescent - not the body of a middle-aged man sprawled across the living room floor. But when old Miss Pebmarsh denies sending for her in the first place, or of owning all the clocks that surround the body, it's clear that they are going to need a very good detective. "This crime is so complicated that it must be quite simple," declares Hercule Poirot. But there's a murderer on the loose, and time is ticking away.

Characters Are Entertaining and Lures You!
Revisado: 04-11-24
I have mixed feelings about this book. I’ve listen to it on Audible several times because it is entertaining and it is captivating and you begin to wonder ‘who dunnit?’
The problem I have is with the end of the book.
I give it a big fat, ‘1’ for confusion!!
incredible nonsense, and it cut short many of the suspicious thread-( almost like a giant pair of scissors comes out with an end date for publication; better wrap it up Agatha!)-it just turns into a snafu of stupidity!
There is no way anyone would be able to have any kind of success getting this straight. Hercule Poirot is pulled out almost as an afterthought.
The backstory of the actual motive leaves me shutting it off minutes before the very end I just don’t wanna hear anymore!

The narrator has a very sweet sappy voice as she trills out one story after another that is predictable - almost identical . Couldn’t even finish let alone listen to another minute of her voice.

Jill and Derick knew a normal life wasn’t possible for them. As a star on the popular TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting, Jill grew up in front of viewers who were fascinated by her family’s way of life. She was the responsible, second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle’s nineteen kids; always with a baby on her hip and happy to wear the modest ankle-length dresses with throat-high necklines.

Praise God For This Young Woman’s Courage!
Revisado: 11-16-23
Excellent!
It was like a Bible Study in itself.
Every time the leader of the Duggar family would open his mouth to try to reel them back under his control …. Scripture flooded my mind against what he was attempting to do!
Jim Bob is greatly misguided and yields his power from a man made cult that resembles the yeast of the Pharisees .
Christ trumped his poor attempts at every turn.
In striving to create a utopia of his own kingdom ,he became a mini version of what he preached against - the world and its trappings! Greed (unfortunately )- is one of the idols in this fallen world. Jim Bob needs to practice what he preaches! Hypocrisy is a poison .
Jesus’ protection towards Jill is evident as He moves to gently removing her burden and healing her. It’s irony that Jill’s dad pushed her towards a genuine Christ follower whose light shined through his darkness.
Difficult to read of her heart wrenching anxiety and pain. I found this read to be an honest look into a situation that never should have happened and a warning to those who also suffer under power mongers who hurt others to fuel pride!
Jill’s forgiveness towards her family patriarch is priceless!
We are to be in the world- but not of it.
That doesn’t mean isolation in a communal group. Jill and Derrick’s light shine boldly and beautifully showing the freedom we all have in Christ.

Historia
Cantankerous and vinegar-tongued Grandmama, from Anne Perry's Charlotte and Thomas Pitt series, is the leading character in this Christmas novel, which unfolds in the chilly, windswept Romney Marshes off the English Channel. Grandmama arrives on a holiday visit to the home of Charlotte's parents, where a fellow guest--an outcast from her own family--is subsequently murdered. Like the heroes before her in Anne Perry's Christmas novels, Grandmama is called upon to play the role of amateur detective.

Eight alarm clocks were set to go off, one after the other, starting at 6:30 a.m. But when morning arrived, one clock was missing and the prank then backfired, with tragic consequences. I have never heard a story narrated so poorly !
I have tried to listen to it again and again, (maybe half a dozen times )-trying not to focus on the hideous, dull, narration; but I cannot get into this.—It’s either a collection of the worst stories Agatha Christie has ever written- or it’s the worst narration; or both!!!
