And the threat is far from over. Part of a larger plot involving a sabotaged North Korean bioweapons facility and an ISIS training camp in northern Mexico, a third attack - bigger than 9/11 - is being hatched by cold-blooded killers.

Did another author write this book? MAGA Mcbride?
Revisado: 05-20-19
I’ve had the entire series up to here and never got the impression that Andrew Peterson was a MAGA fool. I mean sure the genre sort of dictates that most writers will be conservative but between the random “snowflake Prius millennial” scene and the entire ending where they get star struck by Mike Pence??! It just felt like a totally different vibe. I get if Peterson has this idea that Democrats do stop and think that peace comes at the end of a bullet sometimes but the idea that Trump has the brain power to make decisions that actually help national security is laughable. I’ve got an entire group of friends who are all former teams members who would die laughing at that insinuation. Anyways the book was fine except the random GOPper talking points thrown in kept affecting the pacing and all of them were totally unnecessary. Andrew, don’t watch FOX right before sitting down to write a book.

Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

Authors politics spoiled it for me.
Revisado: 04-23-18
While The authors politics surely won’t affect this book for most people it really ruined it for me. The thing that I respect about authors like Vince Flynn and Mark Greaney is that you never get a sense that they are truly left or right leaning they’re writing seems fairly balanced. Jack Carr on the other hand finds a way to lightly sprinkle personal conspiracy theory deep state right wing nonsense into this book. It’s not right in your face but a few lines here or there they slowly build until the last third of the book where they really flow. Now this may be pandering to the typical audience for this type of book or his own beliefs and I know it’s probably hard to love the left as a person from an intelligence background but hardline right rhetoric folded into a thriller is the last thing I wanna waste any time with.

Historia
In AD 1119, a group of nine crusaders became known as the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon - a militant monastic order charged with protecting pilgrims and caravans traveling on the roads to and from the Holy Land. In time, the Knights Templar would grow in power and, ultimately, be laid low. But a small offshoot of the Templars endure and have returned to the order's original mission: to defend the roads of the world and guard those who travel on them.

Great Book !!! The Wheel Turns!
Revisado: 10-02-16
Great blend of the real world and the supernatural. Like if Neil Gaiman's Anerican Gods and Stephen Kings everything made a baby and then Joe R Lansdale wrote a book about it. One of the best things I've listened to this year.

Great but not as great as Power of the Dog
Revisado: 08-22-15
Great follow up to Power of the Dog. A little confusing in the middle as he adds the reporter characters but still overall a fantastic book. I wish audible had a family tree function that revealed characters connections only as the book unveils them. So you can click and remind how who knows who.

Historia
Zack Lightman has never much cared for reality. He vastly prefers the countless science-fiction movies, books, and videogames he's spent his life consuming. And too often, he catches himself wishing that some fantastic, impossible, world-altering event could arrive to whisk him off on a grand spacefaring adventure.

Great but not as great as Ready Player One .
Revisado: 07-31-15
Great book ! However, this book is even more niche than ready player one. You can enjoy it even if you're not in the know. But it's a lot better suited for a specific group of people. The name dropping/callbacks sound a little more forced than ready player one. It was still great though. One part Ready Player One, 1 part Enders game, one part maze runner. Except not really for people under 30 unless they are 80's aficionados.

Historia
Sonny Lofthus is a strangely charismatic and complacent young man. Sonny’s been in prison for a dozen years, nearly half his life. The inmates who seek out his uncanny abilities to soothe leave his cell feeling absolved. They don’t know or care that Sonny has a serious heroin habit - or where or how he gets his uninterrupted supply of the drug. Or that he’s serving time for other peoples’ crimes. Sonny took the first steps toward addiction when his father took his own life rather than face exposure as a corrupt cop. Now Sonny is the seemingly malleable center of a whole infrastructure of corruption....

Revisado: 04-07-15
It took me a minute to adjust to the style of the Narrator but eventually I was there. Probably just so used to Robin Sachs that it seemed odd. Great book thrilling story. Not as tense and twisty as the Harry Hole books but great all the same.
