Historia
When Hannah learns that her sister Michelle's boyfriend, Detective Lonnie Murphy, is the prime suspect in a murder case, she goes straight from a movie studio sound stage to the Los Angeles airport. Back in frigid Minnesota, she discovers that proving Lonnie's innocence will be harder than figuring out what went wrong with a recipe. Lonnie remembers only parts of the night he went out to a local bar and ended up driving a very impaired woman home.

Oh My Aching Head!!!
Revisado: 03-15-20
I read the reviews of others and I thought that the reviewers were harsh! Then I started listening to the book. I knew by Chapter 11 who the killer was and the motive. I skipped to Chapter 27 and I was right. I am so disappointed. This is a book that should have been told in 4 or less chapters. I agree with the reviewer who said the airplane conversation could have been left out. The whole trip to California could have been left out.
It's hard to believe that Bill could not solve this case without Hannah's help. Mike is a professional and he could have helped his boss.
And Hannah needs to grow up.
I will not purchase anymore Hannah books.

Sarah Garland, a retired homicide detective who's gone through a painful divorce, seems to have found her peace at last, as a coffeeshop owner in the sleepy (and freezing) small town of Snow Falls, Alaska. What she didn't expect was for her past life to catch up with her. Or for her new life as a mystery writer to inspire a deadly killer to target her.

Mickey Spillane lives!
Revisado: 06-28-18
I think I like the book, I just can't get past the narrator!
I can't seem to "listen" without wanting to.. I don't know scream! The British accent is horrible; the Detective from New York sounds like Spillane impersonator or Sam Spade and the hometown officer is so far past Barney Fife, I can't find the words. This might be a good book, please don't use this narrator again.
As for the story, I can't believe that this "Sarah" was a Police Officer extraordinaire, with this wonderful record for catching criminals is "frighten" speechless by a snowman dressed in a leather jacket. She quickly forgets all her training, and rushes into her home...it's just too much, and I am thankful that its only 3 hours long!!!!!!

Michael Delivers...AGAIN!!!!
Revisado: 11-11-16
Would you listen to The Wrong Side of Goodbye again? Why?
Yes! From the beginning, he captured my attention. And the narrator did a great job. I look forward to more adventures.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Wrong Side of Goodbye?
When Bosch revealed who the murderer was!! I was completely caught off guard.
What does Titus Welliver bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He made Bosch alive!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
NOT GONE...NOT FORGOTTEN! BOSCH IS BACK!!!

I have "Written Off" this Author!
Revisado: 07-09-16
What disappointed you about Written Off?
Where to start??? First, according to the Author, she has had moderate success, and is in the process of finishing her fourth book. A man insists that he is the "real" fictional character, provides proof, shows up at her book signing, insists that a woman's life is in danger, and what does this so-called author do? Goes to bed, calls someone else about the man, so that person can call someone else! The Author has a business card in hand, she has been told a life is in danger, and she is concerned about her revisions! And all of her thoughts, and musings!!! I cannot hear what others heard and liked about this Author.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Someone Always Knows by Marcia Muller
What aspect of Amanda Ronconi’s performance would you have changed?
Nothing, she worked with what she had.
What character would you cut from Written Off?
The Author

Sam is my new HERO!!!
Revisado: 06-16-16
After reading the first book, I expected to be let down by his second. But I am so happy to find an Author who not only writes so very, very well, but uses hardly any cuss words. The continuing storyline is great, very believable, and the narrator is so easy to listen to. I will listen to all Mr. Archer's books! And the singing was good, too!

Grounds of Tedium!!!!
Revisado: 06-26-14
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I guess I am the odd ball about this author. She spends too many words and too much time explaining!!!!! Yes, we need background, this is the first book. BUT... a person is severely injured and roughly 33 minutes later, we get back to her. I would love to know the ending, but I don't have the patience
If you’ve listened to books by Cleo Coyle before, how does this one compare?
This is my first and last
What about Rebecca Gibel’s performance did you like?
The fact that she could narrate this book and not need an oxygen tank is a wonder.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
disappointment

John Ceepak, a former MP just back from Iraq, has just joined the Sea Haven police department. The job offer came from an old Army buddy who hoped to give Ceepak at least a summer's worth of rest and relaxation to help him forget the horrors of war. Instead, Ceepak will head up the murder investigation.

Would you listen to Tilt-a-Whirl again? Why?
I love this series, and I would listen again and again! The stories are always entertaining, and will leave you guessing unto the end !!
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The plot is believable, and the story flows quite well. I like the fact that the cussing has almost stopped!!!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book excited me, I couldn't wait for the next chapter.

She can clean for me anyday!!!!
Revisado: 02-25-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I was unsure at first about listening to this book. Sometimes a narrator will try to sound "southern" and the outcome is horrible. Not so in this case. Narrator was great, storyline believable, and the characters were well written.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Every Crooked Nanny?
When I was introduces to the main characters and all of their quirks!!!
Which scene was your favorite?
Fishing, when she went to find the scientist and he was fishing. Her boots!!!
Could you see Every Crooked Nanny being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Yes, and I think that Reva McIntyre would/should play lead
