Historia
Throughout the human experience, historians have wondered “what if?”. What if Sherman had fought for the South in the US Civil War? What if Germany had fought to the end in World War I? What if World War III had actually happened? Wonder no more, for these questions, along with many others, are answered in this audiobook.

A great mixture
Revisado: 03-23-25
16 stories by 18 fantastic authors. I enjoy that the book uses alternate history and follows in a sequential "time-line" history. Starting from long ago to modern times. The narrator did a great job, as usual. I can't pick a favorite story because they're ALL awesome. I can't wait to get the next book in the series!

Historia
When the Mercenary Guild tried to bend the galaxy's deadliest assassins to their will, the Depik shocked the galaxy by choosing mass suicide to enslavement. Only those Depik not present on their home planet of Khatash survived to retreat to the shadows, to plan, to form alliances, to rebuild and look forward to the day when they could retake their home from the Veetanho invaders and exact revenge.

Coming home to Khatash
Revisado: 01-22-25
Narrator Todd McClaren continues his excellence performance. The Hunters / Deepik... what's NOT to love? This is the 16th book in the series so if you've been following along, you KNOW. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was a 4 year "time shift" that my brain can't reconcile. But, Hunters & their Companions.... 😎

With things calm outside the Strorix system—at least for now—Queen El’Jyiurma has time to work on things at home. She has new hatchlings to take care of, as well as a growing empire, and she has her coils full. The Gnevusin threat isn’t over, though.

The only constant is change
Revisado: 01-08-25
As I never give spoilers, I will say the storyline continues to satisfy while teasing the audience with what is next. Author Alex Rath continues his excellence, which is now the "minimum standards" (in my opinion) of EVERYTHING coming from Chris Kennedy Publishing. Narrator Michael LeBlanc also continues to do a great job.

Historia
Thirty years ago, the world ended. Giant electrovoric ants and pterodons came through a rift in space-time, millions of humans died, and that was that. Thirty years later, humanity has rebuilt … to an extent. Human ingenuity has provided some creative solutions to life without electricity, but most folks survive at the subsistence level, farming to keep themselves and their families fed.

An enjoyable take of a post-apocalyptic event
Revisado: 12-16-24
Post apocalypse, giant monsters from another dimension and the creation of most unlikely companions on an urgent quest. The characters facing moral and ethical challenges to their upbringings and prejudices are riveting yet believable.
Very impressed and can't wait for the next one!

Historia
Six kids ranging from suburban geeks to street-smart pariahs. A British captain who rarely talks and never smiles. All on the 70-foot pilothouse ketch Crosscurrent Voyager, bound on a senior summer cruise to adventure and serious fun. Except most of the kids don’t get along. And they’ll be gone all summer. And none of them have sailed before. And worst of all - because they booked at the last minute - they got the destination nobody else wanted: the frigid and remote South Georgia Islands.

Teens, Zombie Apocalypse, South Atlantic
Revisado: 12-16-24
Another great addition to the "Black Tide Rising" series. I never give spoilers. I enjoyed following the character development and the way the teens had to deal with each other while dealing with mind boggling challenges. As a "spoiled" USA citizen that hasn't done much traveling abroad, I enjoyed having to do research on the various locations of the South Atlantic. The stories were both engaging and enjoyable. Tristan Morris does an excellent job of narration. Looking forward to the next book.

Arlo was living the dream, but it was someone else's dream. His friend saved his life and injected him with tiny robots that saved his physical health and made him better. Stronger. Faster. The downside was he didn't remember anything before waking up in the middle of the Missouri forest. Now, with some of his old memories starting to surface, he feels like there is something important there. When he recovers his memory, he finds the Corporations have not been resting on their laurels while he was out of the game. With his health back, the Corporations are going to learn...

Revisado: 11-28-24
Another phenomenal book in the series. I was riveted at all the details about Asher Maloney and how things came to be from where the series began. The narrator did an excellent job as well!
I don't do any sort of spoilers but was afraid this was the final book. Looking forward to the next. It can't get here fast enough.

Historia
Thirteen outstanding authors. Thirteen aviation stories that never happened. Throughout the human experience, historians have wondered, “What if?” What if Americans had fought on the side of Germany in World War I? What if Germany had invested in naval aviation in World War II? What if Russia had started World War III? Wonder no more, for these questions, along with many others, are answered within this audiobook.

A MUST READ for the fans of any of these authors!
Revisado: 10-18-24
13 fantastic stories by 14 amazing authors. While it might be "Fiction" there's plenty of facts as well.
The first 4 stories have sparked an interest in doing a bit more learning about "The Great War".
A couple of the authors confront some "unpleasant" aspects of Race and History that absolutely needed to be addressed , and did so in an outstanding manner!
If you like MilSciFi, alternate history or aviation history.... then this book is a MUST READ!
My only *minor* gripe is that in one of the stories (I'll not mention which one~you figure it out, or not) the narrator clearly doesn't have any sort of military background as evidenced by the reading of several military Rank and directional abbreviations as if they were words. For example what was heard was "El-Sea-Dee-Arr" which is written as LCDR, the military abbreviation for "Lieutenant Commander" which is what I SHOULD have heard. It didn't take away from the story but it WAS annoying and beyond the author's control.
I'm looking forward to the next installation of "The Phases of Mars"!

Historia
It was every starship captain’s nightmare, and for Travis Miller, it was his own personal hell. He’d done everything by the book, but when the Tahni had attacked him and his crew, there was no choice but to return fire and destroy the first alien vessel humans had ever encountered. Excoriated in the press, his career in shambles, Travis is exiled to a long patrol of the outer colony worlds. Forgotten, except as a bad example...until the Tahni prove him right by declaring war on the human commonwealth.

Revisado: 06-12-24
Narrator was very good. Storyline was a nice twist on the "lone ship dealing with violent first contact" that I've read from other authors. I look forward to the rest of the series.

I love the continuing rollercoaster ride of the series. Just the right amount of plot twists, humor, action and intrigue. I've gotten used to not trying to figure things out because I'm always wrong.
