Historia
When defense lawyer Andy Carpenter’s veterinarian asks to speak to him privately at the checkup of his golden retriever, Tara, the last thing Andy expects is Truman. Tiny, healthy French bulldog Truman was dropped off days ago with instructions to be euthanized by a man everyone thought was his owner. But now the owner is nowhere to be found. But that’s not all the vet tells Andy. Thanks to Truman’s chip, it’s discovered that the man wasn’t Truman’s owner at all.... Truman's real owner was murdered.

A Window into the Lives of Others
Revisado: 06-24-21
Almost my whole life I have been hearing about conflicts across Planet Earth; but only when exposing my self to books like The Lotus Eaters do I begin to truly understand the price people pay when conflict erupts in their home countries. The pain, loss, lack of comfort and minor amounts of the things one needs to maintain a stable life. These lessons are etched in my heart and mind. Listening to this book has deepened my desire to do good for others.

Historia
Benedict Cumberbatch plays the young Horace Rumpole in this second stellar collection of court cases, also starring Timothy West as the older Rumpole. 'Rumpole and the Man of God': It is 1959, and Rumpole must defend a clergyman accused of shoplifting who, although he clearly did not commit the crime, is curiously reluctant to be cross-examined under oath. Meanwhile, Hilda (she who must be obeyed) has big news....

A Great Serving of Whit and Satire
Revisado: 09-24-18
The cast fleshes out Rumpole’s various tales in an enticing manner. I’ve purchased all three of the Rumpole compilations and listen to them while working, cooking and even sleeping. And having a small Bluetooth speaker makes it that much better!
