Historia
In the summer of 1862, a group of young artists led by the passionate and talented Edward Radcliffe descends upon Birchwood Manor in rural Oxfordshire. Their plan: to spend a secluded summer month in a haze of inspiration and creativity. But by the time their stay is over, one woman has been shot dead while another has disappeared; a priceless heirloom is missing; and Edward Radcliffe’s life is in ruins. Over 150 years later, Elodie Winslow, a young archivist in London, uncovers a leather satchel containing two seemingly unrelated items.

Great Story but Keep A Journal!
Revisado: 02-02-24
Engaging story, but lots of scene changes and characters at different ages and time periods. If I was reading it in book form instead of listening to an audiobook, I think it would’ve been easier to keep track of who was who. I had to go back and re-listen to some chapters to refresh my memory, on who certain people were. Overall, it was a great novel.

Historia
Oliver Dobbs was a writer first and a man second. To him other people were tools. Even though he had broken Victoria Bradshaw’s heart once, when he arrived on her doorstep with a two-year-old son, she found she could not refuse him, and the three of them set out for a castle in Scotland. There, Victoria meets the new laird and finds her crushed spirit awakening.

A Comfortable and Easy Listen

As a fan of Rosamunde Pilcher I loved this story. This was the first work of hers I read over 30 years ago. The narrator is amazing, capturing all the emotion and different voices perfectly.
