Historia
It's been a few months since murder tore apart the community of Champton apart. As Canon Daniel Clement tries to steady his flock, the parish is joined with Upper and Lower Badsaddle, bringing a new tide of unwanted change. But church politics soon become the least of Daniel's problems. His mother - headstrong, fearless Audrey - is obviously up to something, something she is determined to keep from him. And she is not the only one.

Historia
After years of scraping by, Caleb Murphy has graduated from college and is finally getting to start a new life. Except he suddenly has no way to get from Boston to Los Angeles. Then, to add to his misery, there’s perfect, privileged Peter Cabot offering to drive him. Peter Cabot would do pretty much anything to skip out on his father’s presidential campaign, including driving across the country with a classmate who can’t stand him. After all, he’s had plenty of practice with people not liking him much - his own family, for example.

What a wonderful, sweet story. Cat Sebastian does it again. She has a way of making you completely vulnerable to falling in love with her characters and Joel Leslie’s narration is flawless. Here is hoping for a sequel.

I enjoyed following the twists and turns of this plot all the way to the end. What a wonderful listen! I hope there are further adventures of Kim and Will down the pike as I hated to see this saga end.

New York, 1925: Arthur Kenzie is on a mission: to destroy the powerful supernatural relic that threatens Manhattan - and all the nonmagical minds in the world. So far his search has been fruitless. All it has done is keep him from the man he loves. But he'll do anything to keep Rory safe and free, even if that means leaving him behind. Psychometric Rory Brodigan knows his uncontrolled magic is a liability, but he's determined to gain power over it. He can take care of himself - and maybe even Arthur, too, if Arthur will let him.

Bittersweet
Revisado: 07-30-20
Night Drop is a bittersweet remembrance of the early 90s. The fact that Noah, the main character owns a video rental store sets the stage for nostalgic remembrances. Noah brings out a sense of optimism, loyalty and caring that is endearing. His downstairs neighbors fill the bill as Noah’s caretakers and keep the fast paced storyline going by grilling him during the many meals they share. The ending leaves itself open to a sequel, I think it would make a great series and would appeal to a person of a certain age.

Historia
Time waits for no one, including Marshall James. Now 58 and living in New York City, Marshall has outlived the expiration date he was given with a cancer diagnosis three years ago. He beat the odds, but he knows he may not beat the clock. So he’s decided to tell a story or three about some murders he was involved in back in the day. The year was 1983. The bar was the Paisley Parrot in Hollywood, a gay, mob-run dive where people came to drink and few of them remembered the night before. Marshall loves his job as a bartender there. But one night, among the regulars, a killer arrives.

Marshall James Is A Hit
Revisado: 04-20-18
Mark McNease's Murder at the Paisley Parrot is the story of a young man who finds himself tangled up in a progression serial killings happening all around him. It takes place during the dawn of the dreaded AIDS epidemic and Mr. McNease does a superb job of relating the fears that accompanied that time period. Marshal James, the main character is by no means a model Boy Scout, but he burrows a way into your heart with his fumbling courage, foibles and dark humor. Hoping to hear a lot more of him in subsequent books as we found this one to be so enjoyable.

Historia
There's been little love in H.D. "Hound Dog" Fisher's life since the death of his beloved mom when he was a boy. Bounced around the foster care system, he ran away as soon as he could... and took the foster dog with him. As far as he's concerned, only dogs have no ulterior motive, never hold a grudge, and offer unconditional love. Now he helps run a no-kill shelter and leaves relationships where they belong: in the back room.
