Historia
When the daughter of a prominent Roman general meets a disinherited Jewish immigrant, neither one can dream of God's plan to transform them into the most influential couple of the early church. Nor can they anticipate the mountains that will threaten to bury them. Their courtship unwittingly shadowed by murder and betrayal, Priscilla and Aquila slowly work to build a community of believers, while their lives grow increasingly complicated thanks to a shaggy dog, a mysterious runaway, and a ruthless foe desperate for love.

Historia
Munich, 1938. Evelyn Brand is an American foreign correspondent as determined to prove her worth in a male-dominated profession as she is to expose the growing tyranny in Nazi Germany. To do so, she must walk a thin line. If she offends the government, she could be expelled from the country - or worse. If she fails to truthfully report on major stories, she'll never be able to give a voice to the oppressed - and wake up the folks back home.

Historia
After being imprisoned and branded for the death of her client, 25-year-old midwife Julianne Chevalier trades her life sentence for exile to the fledgling 1720s French colony of Louisiana, where she hopes to be reunited with her brother, serving there as a soldier. To make the journey, though, women must be married, and Julianne is forced to wed a fellow convict. When they arrive in New Orleans, there is no news of Benjamin, Julianne's brother, and searching for answers proves dangerous. What is behind the mystery, and does military officer Marc-Paul Girard know more than he is letting on?

Historia
Intellectuals and Race is a radical book in the original sense - one that goes to the root of the problem. The role of intellectuals in racial strife is explored in an international context that puts the American experience in a wholly new light. The book explores the incentives, the visions, and the rationales that drive intellectuals at the highest levels to conclusions that have often turned out to be counterproductive and even disastrous, not only for particular racial or ethnic groups but for societies as a whole.

Brilliant countervailing perspective
Revisado: 07-03-23
Liberals undoubtedly treat Mr Sowell’s “Intellectuals and Race” with the same disdain they treat any work which presents a serious challenge to leftist ideology and verbal virtuosity. Sowell posits a compelling counterpoint to systemic racist dogma which has, and continues to be, systematically and uncritically indoctrinated into mainstream American thought. Sowell artfully exposes the faulty correlation equals causation logic of Systemic Racism proponents, revealing critical flaws in their arguments and encourages readers to consider alternative perspectives of racial disparities, how they evolved and how society may need think about such disparities in an effort to mitigate the negative effects of inequality.
