I had heard of Oedipus very vaguely bc of Freud, so I can't judge how it differed from original stories but I enjoyed the characters and going between mother and daughter time periods and how it ended.

such a good book 2, sucked right back into this amazing world the author created... it ended on a definite launch into the next book-- can't wait for it to get here!!

i loved this story-- and the world of supernatural can't wait for the next installment... like hogwarts meets Buffy I don't think it's fair to caboose them though bc this was such a great story on its own

There's no doubt that SK is a master storyteller... I didn't want the book to end... maybe we can go back to Empis? Like in the future, Charlie's granddaughter inherits the house and makes her way back??

Another amazing storyline / series set in one of my favorite worlds-- the DFZ... This is the 3rd time in going through THIS series of the DFZ, and everytime I don't want to leave... I hope she revisits with another series...

it's really wasn't that bad, waiting for the next.

I really wanted to love it, this authors Heartstriker series and the other DFZ books were so good... so, so, SO good I've recommended them to several others but then she did some other project under a nomme de plume that I couldn't get into, so even though this sounded really good I was hesitant... so it IS all over the place at first and hard to follow along and the characters are all kind of annoying-- but the premise behind it is intriguing and it did suck me in. I'll await the next in the series to make up my mind-- which is better than the other book she wrote that i couldn't get past like the second chapter and returned... I'll revisit the DFZ until then...

SIDE NOTE: The narrator wasn't awful. by the end of the book i could differentiate characters, but in the beginning all their voices sounded so similar it made it more confusing... but I've definitely heard worse.

I'm really enjoying this series

I'm enjoying the series, the story, the characters-- but so often the main character Mac is so dumb-- and that's annoying. she'll learn something, but continue to talk about something else (which has been proved untrue by the new insight she has- that she continuously ignores to apparently add drama into her life/story???) it is so irritating. otherwise the series is really fun...

Fun, entertaining story. Definitely made for audio... I loved the way it was like an old timey radio drama, complete with commercials, and great use of breaking the 4th wall. I just wish it ended with a conclusion, feels like it was left open for sequel?
