I enjoyed the real-world drama of a youth, a family being torn apart, and the truth that only God has a plan. I watch families that are torn apart, I work with divorce and recovery families. I see miracles, but often they get overshadowed by the tradition that is woven through the story. We need these stories to counter the trash that gets dolled out to the world and show what God can do with an open heart and Forgiveness. Keep writing and projecting hope.

The variety of ways the disciples approached Jesus.

The humanity of the disciples, as they followed the Son of God. Knowing who he is and not understanding what he says and how he goes about the ministry. In direct contraction with the leaders of the church.I would not be able to cast stones at any of them,.We live in a horrible time in history to stand up and proclaim God's goodness, and expect not to take sides.
Yet the word says " The darkness will get darker and the light shall shine brighter. " We must shine our lights into the darkness we live in.
Amazing story to give glimpse s of how it might have been.

It hits the mark of our society, I have known many women who have been put in the situation of being in the abortion clinic. Many have gone through the abortion.Others have had botched abortions that almost killed the mother and they are sterile because of the attempt. I also have met two who crawled off the table and left only to be able to fulfill their role as mothers. Thank You for this story. More people need to hear the amazing testimony of Jesus forgiveness and hope beyond the point of extreme pressure. The world our goverment: does not want this story told. They do not believe in the sanctity of human rights. Keep up the Fight.

Out of all Charles' works, this is my least favorite. It is because I have worked in Hospitals and met amazing people and watched them pass away before my eyes. Maybe it is a raw place where the book touched or the disappearance of characters to be rebirthed back from the grave. This feels unkind to those I work with who have lost a family member to suicide. Good story, but it hit me at the wrong place. Love your work, and I will reread it to see if I was tainted when I read this novel.
