Was it real or staged?
Revisado: 04-13-22
Excellent podcast! I am currently reading Black Rednecks and White Liberals (still in first chapter). So bizarre but on point thanks to Mr. Sowell’s great researching abilities. There has to be and I believe there is always a reason behind the scenes why people act the way they do. We are not just born the way we are..right?

Historia
Intellectuals and Race is a radical book in the original sense - one that goes to the root of the problem. The role of intellectuals in racial strife is explored in an international context that puts the American experience in a wholly new light. The book explores the incentives, the visions, and the rationales that drive intellectuals at the highest levels to conclusions that have often turned out to be counterproductive and even disastrous, not only for particular racial or ethnic groups but for societies as a whole.

An excellent book! Sad but true in my opinion how this country and many other lands intellectuals or assumed intellectuals make decisions based off theories on how people should function together and how we might think of each other.

Where Has This Exceptional Person Been All My Life?
Revisado: 03-27-22
Amazing and disappointing at the same time. How much better would people in this land be if we were given or taught from our teachers from Thomas Sowell books? Mr Sowell is understandable, logical, uses common sense, researches his information, witty, confident, and can go on and on. I asked my mother, and other people and never heard his name before.

Get ‘Em While They Are Young
Revisado: 03-26-22
Seems like the USA government (and other countries a lot older) have learned a long time ago that starting the brainwashing or conditioning of the youth to just not think much about what the government is doing with them works a lot better than having to deal with head strong adults that will try to fight for their freedoms.

Swollen Headed People
Revisado: 03-26-22
I have worked with or met various people over the years that consider themselves very intelligent or at least think they are more intelligent than me without knowing anything about me or asking. Eventually I came to the realization that no one person is all knowing and many of those people have never been told they are not so special and just pushed up by their mothers probably.

I Get It
Revisado: 03-26-22
Higher wages and less people hired…yup. Employers (especially small business) hiring people and giving them less hours to stay in business…yup. Do I think this government should mandate all workers get at least basic health insurance when hired with this higher minimum wage with a portion paid by the worker and the other portion paid by the employer…yup.

Our Moral Crusades
Revisado: 03-26-22
Oddly true analysis in my opinion. Strange how our brains have this ability or desire or need to be convinced without genuine proof or evidence to follow some kind of quest or “crusade” into the unknown or have a realistic end state of the outcome to try and fix a problem with humanity that might not be fixable since we are not perfect creatures but it sounds and feels good to the soul.
