Historia
In Seeing Voices, Oliver Sacks turns his attention to the subject of deafness, and the result is a deeply felt portrait of a minority struggling for recognition and respect - a minority with its own rich, sometimes astonishing, culture and unique visual language, an extraordinary mode of communication that tells us much about the basis of language in hearing people as well.

Historia
It is a cold January morning, and Shetland lies beneath a deep layer of snow. Trudging home, Fran Hunter's eye is drawn to a splash of color on the frozen ground, ravens circling above. It is the strangled body of her teenage neighbor, Catherine Ross. The locals on the quiet island stubbornly focus their gaze on one man - loner and simpleton Magnus Tait.

Ok

It was a good enough story. Not one that held my attention that well. The narrator did an awesome job. So that got me through it.

Historia
At the end of the Second World War, Cyril Conroy combines luck and a single canny investment to begin an enormous real estate empire, propelling his family from poverty to enormous wealth. His first order of business is to buy the Dutch House, a lavish estate in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia. Meant as a surprise for his wife, the house sets in motion the undoing of everyone he loves. The story is told by Cyril’s son Danny, as he and his older sister, the brilliantly acerbic and self-assured Maeve, are exiled from the house where they grew up by their stepmother.

Tom Hanks performs this story wonderfully!
Revisado: 09-09-20
The story is a bit bizarre. About the love of an eccentric house and the history of those that live in it. Tom shanks Jerpseth the listener enthralled with the energy and personification he brings to each character. It’s an engaging story for a nice walk around the neighborhood.

Historia
Intuitive Eating is the go-to book on rebuilding a healthy body image and making peace with food. We’ve all been there—angry with ourselves for overeating, for our lack of willpower, for failing at yet another diet. But the problem isn’t us; it’s that dieting, with its strict rules, keeps us from listening to our bodies. Written by two prominent nutritionists, Intuitive Eating will teach you how to reject diet mentality forever; how our three eating "personalities" define our eating difficulties; how to find satisfaction in your eating; and much, much more.

Good information

The speaker was clear, but came off a bit robotic. Definitely worth listening to for those that have been on the diet yo-yo.
