good story but I'm gonna dock two stars every time I get a story has plugs for wokeness, especially that were absurdly forced into the story like an after thought and add no value
then also, having the narrator read the game terms 'differently'... probably not the greatest idea ever

At times I enjoyed the performance and I'd call the cooperative reading a great success. However, the story changes focus dramatically from the first book which I enjoyed much more. Things seemed to drag more and I lost interest at several points. The occasional hostility between the characters seemed both unnecessary, annoyingly dumb and poorly contrived. If I hadn't liked the first book, I'd just totally be done with the series but I'll probably give the next book a chance. I hope it's more like the first book than the second.

My favorite of the series

A nice surprise that I found it so interesting. It's a relatively short story that if you can suspend disbelief and identify with the main characters, you're sure to feel some heavy emotions.

An epic epic tale. I positively loved it.

The series is kind of like star wars but darker and edgier. An adult oriented non-Disney version... thankfully.

I didn't really have high expectations for the book but soon after the start I was hooked. The book was quite intelligent and entertaining. The end went a bit over the top but overall I'd still say it was one of my favorite books and of course worth the credit.

Entertaining, good laughs, and interesting

I found myself laughing so much it took several hours to stop grinning like an idiot whenever having to pause for work and other less interesting life events. It's well thought out scifi and funny as heck. Spend the credit you won't regret it.

I liked it...

The book is an interesting blend of scifi and heist story. It seems ambitious having to both create and explain several new off shoots of the human species. I think I might not have been able to have read this book as parts of it might have been lost on me but audible allows one to tune out for a bit and come back when interested. I still highly recommend it as it was interesting and fun.
