Interesting Read

Overall, this wasn't a terrible book. For me, it simply seemed more filled with mini bios about mafia members involved, and how they came to help the U.S. Navy more than anything else. I suppose I wanted more U.S. Navy and Mafia defeat Hitler than was provided. The book does however provide several historical facts which could be expanded upon when looking for related research.

An absolute must read

I’ve read this one twice. And each time, I’m left speechless. I hesitate to say much about this book for fear of discouraging everyone from reading it. I will simply say, the ability of Orange to connect his readers to the experiences of his characters, is moving. I challenge any reader to not turn the final pages of this book and feel zero emotion.

Everyone Please Read.

I went into this book expecting a book filled with far right ideology and extreme biased. Boy am I glad I didn’t follow my heart on this one. This is such an amazing read. The author does an amazing job at not leaning one way or the other, and instead sticks to logic and facts. This one I believe, is one that should be on the shelve of all readers

So I should preface, going into this book, I was already a believer. In reading this book, I know believe a little more than a lot. By no means am I a professional, so can’t say whether the things discussed are possible. But they seem logical. I’d recommend.

King continues to not disappoint

Still relatively new to King, I continue to be reminded why I keep coming back. Now that I’ve read a little of his older stuff, and a little of his newer, I’ve very much enjoyed Kings ability to turn anything into a mind bender. In particular, I enjoyed the way King related his stories to things newer generations understand. I will continue onto another.

A really really great book. I opened it out of a desire for self improvement. Every point the author was making, was like punch in the gut. I found this book helpful as a human, as a teacher, and as a parent. I feel few will regret giving it a chance.

Great Introduction

All in all, I can’t say anything bad about this one. Short? Yes, very. But I think that’s the point. This book definitely isn’t to be used as a point of reference, but it does provide a full and contextualized over view of the topic. Definitely a great book to spin off from.

I’d imagine this book is helpful for some. For me however, it was a dud. I finished it mostly because I aim to complete the things I begin. Personally, I was looking for a “how to be more empathetic” book. This book however, is a “survival guide for empath’s” kinda book.

This book is helpful in that it reminds the reader of what should be basic knowledge. Other than that, it doesn’t seem to provide much life change “new” knowledge.

Would recommend however. A little reminder never hurts
