Satisfying ending with good epilogue. This was necessary after a long complex narrative. Good listen

Not a mystery a listener could solve

Liked the Jane Smith dialogue. The story was incomprehensible. How many presumed dead characters can actually come back to life over 2 books?

A different story both very unique main characters
Revisado: 12-13-24
Patch’s journey becomes our journey. A journey that includes revenge, reward punishment, and redemption. Many of these characters will not be easily forgotten. What more can you ask of any novel?

Historia
Tough-as-nails criminal defense attorney Jane Smith is hip-deep in the murder trial of the century. Actually, her charmless client might’ve committed several murders. She’s also fallen in love with a wonderful guy. And an equally wonderful dog, a mutt. But Jane doesn’t have much time. She’s just received a terminal diagnosis giving her twelve months. Unless she’s murdered before her expiration date.

Jane Smith is interesting
Revisado: 11-02-24
Too many coincidences and little mystery.
I’m not sure the murderer was ever in doubt. Decent and sometimes captivating trial. But definitely not Patterson’s best.

Well developed characters, great listen.
Revisado: 08-18-24
There were a few too many long throughout speeches and a whole bunch of bad guys who never get punished. Perhaps that’s what makes this realistic. I listen to the last eight hours continuously in one day. That’s rare for me so I have to give this my highest rating. I hope we get to meet Jack and Desiree again.

Historia
Michael Crichton, creator of Jurassic Park, ER, Twister, and Westworld, had a passion project he’d been pursuing for years, ahead of his untimely passing in 2008. Knowing how special it was, his wife, Sherri Crichton, held back his notes and the partial manuscript until she found the right author to complete it: James Patterson, the world’s most popular storyteller.

Some great characters but too many died. Hard to follow at times. Might have been easier to read.
Inventive plot with the entire planet at risk because of our own stupidity and the awesome power of nature.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Radar
Revisado: 07-11-24
The most important part of this story, was the relationship between a boy and his dog. it’s a story about what any of us who loves dogs might do to have them live a little bit longer. The adventure that Charlie and radar went on together is a fairytale, made believable only because Charlie did everything he did to save his dog. That part I believe so I believe the rest of it too.

A good series
Revisado: 04-28-24
I actually like the first book better because I didn’t know we were going to hear the story from two separate characters. This time I knew that was going to happen. I can’t remember any dead spots in the Housemaid and there were very few here as well.if this were a book, it would be a page turner and it is the audio equivalent of one. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Love a satisfying finish
Revisado: 04-21-24
Love the Brooklyn voice narration. Also the “two sides to every story “ aspect. All novels are collections of contrivances and coincidences that the author selects for their narrative. It’s never good when one jumps out at you that you didn’t see coming that is so obvious. That would ordinarily create a two star rating, but the rest of the listen was so interesting and compelling that I gave it a four regardless I’m even looking forward to the sequel.

I like the multiple narrators all of them were terrific. In fact, I don’t think this book works as well with one narrator. It was a good story with an ending that may have been to drawn out.
