Following the devastating attack on Yaresh, its people are left to pick up the pieces. The city lies in ruins, but its decimated defenders have more to deal with than just reconstruction. Jason's actions during the battle have brought unwelcome attention from allies and enemies alike. While the adventurers question his loyalty, the messengers question his very nature. bleh
Revisado: 02-21-24
starter out as a good series, but just bleh..... so much repetition and political BS. the plot armour is insane, like rulers and gods, thousands of years old wouldn't, sget pissed at a little pibsqueak talking back and showing absolutely zero respect. there's just no reason for it I can see. no struggle for levels or status any longer,it just gets handed over to him. the author has lost his way. no doubt, he has no idea how to get to the ending he has already written so he is just making it happen, regardless of any rules he previously set up for the universe. so sad. I will be returning this book and will abandon the series completely. to all of you hanging around, good luck, I hope the author can make some course corrections.

Historia
Land-ho! Clyde and co. have finally—finally—made it to the City of Darkness. Which turns out to actually exist! One small problem though. Anyone and anything that sets foot on the island immediately disappears. Ceases to exist. Poof. To complete the quest, Clyde needs to figure out how to actually enter the city and steal the crown jewels . . . without getting stuck in the town forever. It's a foreboding, dark place (obviously), where corruption is rampant. And maybe worse: the game rules Clyde's gotten so good at bending to his will? They don't seem to apply.

Historia
Drew Michalik was working in a top-secret facility in Washington, DC, when the Advent began. As all electronics in the world simply ceased to work, blue screens filled with information appeared before him. Drew was given access to a mana interface and a limited number of reality-altering crystals called Xatherite. Following the instructions on his vision-impairing screens, he "slotted" his Xatherite and changed his fate: He gained the ability to cast spells. Now alone in the dark, he must battle through the government bunker turned dungeon in a desperate bid for survival.

Historia
When virtual reality becomes real enough that people feel as if they're being transported to another world, Valia Online arrives. A man running from his past joins the game to forget it all. Calling himself Jack Thorn, he chooses an undead race, Deathlord. A mage by choice, and a swordsman by necessity, he soon finds out that he'll need to use much more than magic and steel to survive; strategy, creativity, and carefully chosen words can often accomplish what simple attacks can't.

unfortunate
Revisado: 01-20-19
If you have never read litRPG DO NOT start with this one. it's just bad. the main character is the smartest person in the world, the devs are dumb the ai's are dumb, no one can ever dream to stand up to his intelligence and cunning. It's like a 12 year olds wet dream or something. only reason I finished it is because I spent a credit on it. I read some bad reviews about it before I purchased it, but every book gets a bad review or two, so I chose to overlook them. wish I would have listened this time this time. oh, and the relationship with his parents is ridiculously cliche.

Historia
All good things must come to an end, Constant Listener, and not even Stephen King can write a story that goes on forever. The tale of Roland Deschain's relentless quest for the Dark Tower has, the author fears, sorely tried the patience of those who have followed it from its earliest chapters. But attend to it a while longer, if it pleases you, for this volume is the last, and often the last things are best.

Amazing story, incredible writing, fantastic narration. Worth every hour spent listening. If only it didn't have to end.
