Historia
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

I used to like mushrooms
Revisado: 04-15-24
My husband wants me to thank Mr. Robinson for writing a book that has turned me off of mushrooms for a while. He hates them and I *used* to love them and put them in everything. Now they are creepy and the stuff of nightmares. As is true of all the Robinson books I've listened too, this story was a wild and thoughtful ride. I'm looking forward to more books related to this one!

From the ashes of a devastated Boston, a harrowing legend emerges. Thirteen years prior, the colossal kaiju, Nemesis, ravaged the city in her relentless pursuit of retribution. Today, mankind's survival teeters on the sacrificial offerings atop a chilling monolith known as The Altar, where the condemned pay the ultimate price to prevent Nemesis's wrath from consuming humanity.

What a fun spin on a story from the Robinsonverse!
Revisado: 01-29-24
If you're worried about needing to read the past iterations of Nemesis, don't. This book was written as a fabulous stand-alone vision of our Goddess of Vengeance in a different dimension. It's a whole thing with Jeremy Robinson. Join the FB group Tribe and you'll see how deep the rabbit hole is on the interconnectedness between characters, timelines and realities. That being said, it's a non-stop adventure with likable characters and great laughs throughout.

Dear Diary,
Revisado: 03-24-23
Dear Diary,
Cynthia here. Just finished listening to Singularity. It was cool. Really cool. Reviews are great for authors but it's daunting for some of us readers (listeners) after finishing up such a fun series. I'll just throw down what matters to folks that are wondering whether to spend a credit or not here. In my diary. (Just go with it.)
1. Do you need to read the other books first? Why would you skip them? Pfft Away with you.
and
2. Was I satisfied? Yes, This ending of a series does not disappoint. Promise. Cross my heart and stuff.
I mean, fans will love this book. Get it.

The authors have shaken things up in this latest release and I am here for it! Thankfully, I didn't have to hate them for the shake-up as things moved quickly in the story while Hal and X work through some new and not-so-new challenges internally. Great listen and I can't wait for the next release!

Stumbled on this title...
Revisado: 06-29-22
I stumbled onto this title while looking for freebies to read and/or listen to. I chose this book because I like the premise and because it's read by a favorite narrator, Ray Porter. Before listening, I read reviews that talked about the erroneous science in the book. Well, I suspend all beliefs except human nature while reading science fiction and I for one, was not disappointed.
The book leads a large cast of characters through internal and external personal dilemmas while relating them to a larger, yet not fully realized plot that involves the downfall of Earth as we know it.
I'll be looking for the next book in the series because I ended up caring about the characters. That signifies a good book/story to me.

Historia
Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

Dark -but thoughtful and funny
Revisado: 07-15-21
How do you write a review about a book so jam-packed full of "yeet"? You'll laugh at that later. Robinson takes us on a rollercoaster ride as we laugh, cheer and say, "ew, gross". Lots of gross in a few spots there, but there's a chihuahua, a guy in a skirt and a badass seven year-old girl who is also kind of creepy, but in a fun way. If you've never read a book by this author, get busy listening. If you have, you're probably already a fan and are maybe waiting on an invitation. I invite you to listen and get lost in the transformation of one neighborhood plunged into the Dark.
