Very helpful with lots of repetition. My only complaint is lesson 9, which sounds like an awkward date rape scene.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I was not into the male narrator's voice. It just didn't do it for me. Something too arrogant and cocky about his narration. Or maybe it's just the story.

Did Jonathan Davis and Staci Snell do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I enjoyed the female narrator's voice. It was easy to listen to and understand. She made the female characters that she narrated sound really intriguing, and I wanted to know more about them. Not so much with the male characters, including Oscar.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

It might be better as a movie.

If you could sum up Unbroken in three words, what would they be?

Traumatizing yet addicting

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that the story told a side of WWII that I had never learned before. While listening to the story, I wanted to research and learn more about the Japanese role in WWII and what led up to it. We all know about the Holocaust and Japanese internment, but high school US History class never bothers to teach you about the what the rest of the world was doing during this complex and large-scale war.

Have you listened to any of Edward Herrmann’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've never listened to this narrator before, but this was a great first experience. His narration is perfect for a war story, and his voice is very easy to listen to without effort. The story is completely mesmerizing and Hermann's narration allows you to get fully absorbed in the story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, because the story is very graphic and traumatizing. The story is mesmerizing and addicting; however, my mind couldn't grasp all the horrors for more than 15 minutes at a time.

What made the experience of listening to Undeniable the most enjoyable?

Bill Nye's jokes are much funnier when you hear him say it than reading it on paper. Listening to him brings back lots of fond childhood memories.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I had never before considered how human exploration of other planets could contaminate and change our search for other life forms. The idea that other space organisms might have populated planet Earth in their search for life forms (through contamination) is rather mind blowing! Or maybe living organisms were placed on Earth intentionally by intelligent space creatures, and we're the results of their experiment.

Any additional comments?

The text was a little dry to read, but I actually subscribed to Audible because I wanted to hear this book in audio form. Now I'm addicted to Audible!

If you could sum up Gone Girl in three words, what would they be?

suspenseful, psycho, addictive

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. I couldn't stop listening to this because I wanted to know what happened. I listened to this walking to/from my car to places, in the shower, at work (shhh. don't tell.), etc.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

That would take 19 hours, but I definitely finished this book in a week. I almost wished I had a longer commute to work.

Any additional comments?

Amy's voice and character starts off obnoxiously annoying, but you get use to it and the story line really picks up. I also don't like how Nick imitates the female speaking voice and how Amy imitates Desi's voice.
