Love Agatha Christie but...

This was our least favorite book of hers. It’s a good story. Everything is there to solve it but we found it underwhelming. Maybe just not our taste but still a good story.

My sister and I really enjoyed this book. Hugh Fraser is an incredible narrator! A true gem. We always look for his name. Ms. Agatha Christie really outdid herself. What a beautiful mind! I try to catch her but alas she is impossible.

The characters are just different intensities of the same personality. Her descriptions of every single place was overwhelming and unnecessary. The story was dragged out and convoluted just for the sake of time. I’m so sorry to have been disappointed. I really wanted to like this book and enjoy the story. Unfortunately, all of the aforementioned things got in the way.

I enjoyed the story! It was hard to stop listening. At the same time I was dismayed that nearly all of the antagonists or unethical characters had ethnic last names. That fact was more apparent in this book than the other three and I found it unsettling. Maybe this was done tongue-in-cheek but it wasn’t entirely clear. All in all a good read but with some unsettling implications.
