In this collection of lectures that Richard Feynman originally gave in 1963, unpublished during his lifetime, the Nobel Prize-winning physicist discusses several of the ultimate questions of science. What is the nature of the tension between science and religious faith? Why does uncertainty play such a crucial role in the scientific imagination? Is this really a scientific age?

Word after word of common sense
Revisado: 11-05-20
This was my first listen of Richard Feynman's books and he makes a lot of sense in a lot of ways. As with all philosophy, take it as it was written from the authors perspective, not as 'biblical truth'. With that said, enjoy this man's perspective.

Leadership metaphors
Revisado: 10-31-20
This book is one that every serious business owner and management staff must-hear. It's filled with information that is metaphorically relevant to success over competition. If you listen to this book in a literal sense, all of the points will be missed. Please listen with an open mind and let it relate to the things you wish to overcome.

Historia
This playful, entertaining, and mind-bending introduction to modern physics briskly explains Einstein's general relativity, quantum mechanics, elementary particles, gravity, black holes, the complex architecture of the Universe, and the role humans play in this weird and wonderful world. Carlo Rovelli, a renowned theoretical physicist, is a delightfully poetic and philosophical scientific guide. He takes us to the frontiers of our knowledge: To the most minute reaches of the fabric of space, back to the origins of the cosmos, and into the workings of our minds.

6 physics lessons, 1 philosophical lesson
Revisado: 10-30-20
This audiobook is easier to understand if you have some basic concepts of physics and astronomy, but it shouldn't leave one lost if they don't. The first six lessons are indeed physics with a final philosophy of Ourselves. Although the last lesson is more philosophy, it is well blended with physics and closes the book together nicely. Had it not been for this final outlook, by Chapter 6, I was decided to give it a 4-star rating. However, it came together so well in the end that the fifth star was well deserved.

Historia
Whether it is true or not that not more than 12 persons in all the world are able to understand Einstein's Theory, it is nevertheless a fact that there is a constant demand for information about this much-debated topic of relativity. The books published on the subject are so technical that only a person trained in pure physics and higher mathematics is able to fully understand them. In order to make a popular explanation of this far-reaching theory available, the present book was written.

Excellent narration! Read along in Kindle.
Revisado: 10-28-20
Interesting that the language written in this book is so relevant today. Besides the old ether theory, it's amazing that almost 100 years later, the theory of general and special relativity holds so true even now. Had Einstein never discovered this, our calculations would still remain slightly miscalculated by the Newtonian Laws of gravity. Although they still serve an important purpose, they never could explain the orbit of Mercury, discover black holes, account for satellites time dilation correction, etc.

More about conversations than just Awkward Silence
Revisado: 10-28-20
This book is surprisingly filled with tremendous and practical methods of communicating with others. It's not about just Awkward Silence. I digitally highlighted this book so often that I found myself defining a category for each color—Yellow for necessary, Blue for lists, Red for warnings, and Orange for extremely important.
The audio file is also narrated by an excellent reader who expresses all the examples and points exactly how they were intended by the author. This is a book that I will refer back to many times. It's worth owning, not borrowing.

Historia
"Give me liberty, or give me death!" is a quotation attributed to Patrick Henry from his speech to the Second Virginia Convention on March 23, 1775, at St. John's Church in Richmond, Virginia. Henry spoke without notes, and no transcript of his exact words have survived. The only known version of his speech was reconstructed in the early 1800s by William Wirt, a biographer who corresponded with various attendees of the convention.
