Historia
Vanessa Mazur refuses to feel bad for quitting—she knows she’s doing the right thing. The thankless job of personal assistant to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans for her life, and none of them include washing extra-large underwear one more day for a man who could never find it in him to tell her good morning, congratulate her on a job well done, or wish her a happy birthday—even when she was spending it working for him.

This was a really great story, I honestly enjoyed it! The last....2.5 hours though I was sort of like, okay this is taking a lot of time here.
But overall it was really cute and I'd def recommend

Historia
I’m just a girl. And it turns out, I’m Hercules. I’m struggling to survive in a Titan infested world where Spartans, immortals from twelve royal families who have god-like powers and obscene wealth, rule over all. A shy-stammering foster child with nothing, I keep my head down, cover my scars, and focus on excelling in school. At least, I try to. Then it happens.

Started Out Rough
Revisado: 04-25-25
This book started out a bit rough. I know the author meant well but it was basically information overload instead of trying to naturally work the wild building into the beginning of the story. I'd say after about chapter 9 or 10 I had to go back and relisten to the first few chapters for it to all sink in.
But overall, I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the second one

Historia
Jenna Bradshaw's life looks perfect from the outside - comfortable home, a successful husband, and two grown children. But beneath the surface, her world is crumbling. Over decades of quiet sacrifices, Jenna has lost herself, her voice drowned out by a loveless marriage, dismissive children, and the judgment of her husband's elitist family. She has become invisible in her own life, a shadow of the hopeful young artist she once was. When her best friend Sasha tragically dies in a car accident, leaving behind two foster children, Jenna is forced to confront the harsh truths of her existence. ...

surprisingly Good
Revisado: 04-22-25
I normally steer clear of Virtual Voice because it sounds so much like a computer reading (which it is). But this one wasn't bad at all! The male British voice even had me forgetting a few times, that it wasn't a real person.
The story or actual recording could do with some editing, but just a little. There were a few times when a sentence repeated twice or the narration would break up a bit, but it only happened a handful of times so overall it was a good story with a good narration

Historia
I'm Noah Carter, and this is my confession. My story is one of vengeance that twisted into a love I never saw coming. My target? Baron Hunt, the man whose ruthlessness shattered my family. The plan was simple: seduce his daughter Stella to force her father's hand, making him pay for his past transgressions. She became an unwitting pawn in a game of retribution that was supposed to end with my victory. Instead, I realized that the heart doesn't follow the rules of revenge.

Revisado: 02-25-25
Maya Alden usually makes me feel all the feels in her books however this one she made me feel DEEP. The guy punch was real and raw and I felt this one to my bones. Excellent job Maya!

***EDITED: 12/17/2024*** I have been in love with my best friend since we were kids. I have imagined our wedding, what names we might give our children, hell, you name it, I've dreamed it. But, it never happened. We had a really shitty upbringing. Horrible addict parents, starving and begging for food. Wearing old clothes we found in dumpsters or in boxes in front of the local church. But we got out. We got his sisters out. He got a full-ride scholarship for hockey and even made it to the pros... meanwhile my career got put on the backburner so that I could help raise his little sisters and...

Surprisingly Not Bad
Revisado: 01-10-25
I'm not a fan of Virtual Voice but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too bad for this story.
The story itself was okay. It had a lot of potential and I know there have been edits to this book already but some of the creative aspects I think could have been better. But all in all, I enjoyed it - especially for it being a free book!

Historia
Becca McKenzie is happy - crazy, ridiculously happy. She might not have figured out what she wants to do with her life, but she has something better - Ryan Jackson - and they couldn't be more in love if they tried. He might have been pissed when she went off to a different college, but they make the long distance work because they're "Becca and Ryan", and nothing is going to break them. Until it does. Until one terrible, unforgettable night away from Ryan. Until too much drinking and one empty bedroom.

Better Than The 1st
Revisado: 12-27-24
Even though the subject matter of this book was a LOT heavier than book 1, I liked it so much better because the FMC grew by leaps and bounds, albeit her growth was a result of a terrible thing that happened to her. But she was still so much more likeable and relatable in this book vs book 1 where I was barely able to tolerate her by the end of it!

Historia
Becca McKenzie is just trying to make it through her senior year of high school. She has good friends and a gorgeous boyfriend, but Ryan Jackson, the bane of her existence, keeps popping up everywhere. She doesn't care that they were best friends for years. She doesn't care that their moms are close, and therefore, she hears more about him that she'd ever care to know. She doesn't care that their mutual friend, Jake, keeps pushing them all to hang out together, and she especially doesn't care that the rest of the school bows down and worships him.

The FMC Was Rough
Revisado: 12-26-24
I liked this story....... but the longer the drama between the FMC and the MMC went on, the less likeable the FMC became. I think if things would have been resolved or talked out sooner, I would have liked the FMC a lot better

Historia
The girls in Mama Si's Paradise live like royalty. Real-life princesses. Dolls, she calls them, and what they do is entertain her very beautiful, very wealthy guests. Good ole me went in there to apply for a housekeeping position after I caught my boyfriend cheating, and he kicked me out. Even though I knew what that place was, I went. Then Mama Si saw me. She took one look at me, told me that the vacancy was no longer available, but that she had a better offer to make me—to become one of her dolls. I accepted because she promised me freedom. She promised me magic. She lied.

Surprisingly Wonderful!
Revisado: 12-23-24
I can across this book in a Facebook REELS video / and that brought me to the Kindle addition. There, the book has 501 reviews with an average of 4.4 and the story line seemed interesting so I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did!
This story is fun with an interesting and unique take on the normal fantasy characters we already know (fairies, witch, shifters, vampires, ect). The magic system and story here was new and different and I really liked it.
Narrator was great, I hope she's doing book 2 as well which I've already pre-ordered!
