Alexander Cendese does a spectacular job of bringing two of my favorite characters to life. This story is beautifully written. Sweet but not fluffy. The chemistry between Benny and Cole is incendiary but believable. I highly recommend this to anyone who believes in second chances, cheers for acceptance and knows that true love conquers all. This is a very special book…

I have listened to and loved all of the Bethesda Barracudas hockey series but this one is extra special. Written by own voices authors, it tells a story of first love and first times that feels so authentic it made me cry. Nick J Russo is the perfect choice to narrate this book. His performance is flawless. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!

A moving and inspirational story

I love that this story started with an established couple who were very happy together and only sought to move their lives forward by living openly as gay NHL players. The stress of playing on different teams with different travel schedules had really begun to take its toll. When stolen nights were not enough, they became convinced something had to change. This story is beautifully written by Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood and incredibly acted by Nick J. Russo. His voice is perfect for these characters. The characters are voiced consistently and he is just so pleasant to listen to. I recommend this book to anyone who loves sports romance, low angst, plenty of heat and a perfect HEA.

Wonderful performance of one of my favorite books!

I didn’t think I could love this book more but the way Nick J. Russo brought these characters to life left me blown away. I’m so glad the team of Taylor/ Harwood decided to put their books out in audio too. This book is full of exciting hockey action, second chances and so much heat I thought my AirPods would melt! Low angst but plenty of chemistry to keep the tension high. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves an engaging story of two men who fall deeply in love and aren’t afraid to show their tender side.

This is a fun, sexy book with some of the most engaging characters I’ve heard in a long time. Nick J Russo brings this hockey romance to life in the best way possible. He has always been one of my favorite narrators and he shows here exactly why. Not just for sports lovers, I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who loves mm romance!
