Historia
On a tiny island off Paradiso, Florida, in 1970, neighbors gather to toast two new arrivals: shy Catherine and her taciturn husband, Dr. Frank Overbrook, who is taking over an old friend’s medical practice. It’s an intimate welcoming for the newlyweds, who have abandoned city life for swaying palms and an ocean breeze. But the morning after is anything but peaceful when Frank is found dead on the beach.

Historia
Unable to catch a break in life or love as she approaches thirty, Charli Thurman sees red lights at every crossroads. And given the Thurman family’s tumultuous history, she knows things will only get worse, unless she can break the cycle and figure out where—and when—it all went wrong. Charli is skeptical when her best friend introduces her to a “soul reader” who specializes in generational trauma. But during family constellation therapy with the guru, Charli experiences an inexplicable memory of terrible violence.

Historia
Lewis Madigan is young, gay, out of work, and getting antsy when he’s roped into providing end-of-life care for his insufferable homophobic neighbor, Chester Wheeler. Lewis doesn’t need the aggravation, just the money. The only requirements: run errands, be on call, and put up with a miserable old churl no one else in Buffalo can bear. After exchanging barbs, bickering, baiting, and pushing buttons, Chester hits Lewis with the big ask. Lewis can’t say no to a dying wish.

Absolutely beautiful story & incredible narration!
Revisado: 08-24-22
Boo walker has done it again! This is a beautiful story of love, loss and family connection. Having lost my mother and best friend when she was far too young, I deeply feel Baxter’s struggle with his loss & how to help his daughter navigate her loss. There are days when it’s too hard to remember & days when it’s impossible to forget. The narration is perfection. Thank you Boo Walker for this incredibly beautiful journey to Spain!

I didn’t want this story to end!
Revisado: 08-07-21
This a beautiful story with excellent, layered characters! I loved living the life of his main character Annalisa & seeing the world through her eyes. I’m constantly in awe of Boo Walker’s ability to write these amazing female characters - it’s a true gift! Thank you Boo for showing us that vulnerability & strength can coexist & drive us to do great things with our lives. You are one of my favorite writers & I can’t wait for you to tell me another epic story! As for the narration - Cassandra Campbell is simply the best in the business. She fill my days with beautiful, nuanced narration. I’m so grateful for her incredible talent!
