If you can get past the fact that the protagonist was annoying, this was an okay read/listen. I thought the premise of in the book of how the "Next" were handled was unique. Overall, a pretty decent book. I enjoyed the first half more the second half. I found the characters more diverse and interesting before the God of Order truly came into the picture. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I liked the protagonist sense of humor and determination. The action starts quickly and doesn't let up. I do wish the protagonist put the pieces together more quickly. I wanted more of the monster. The narrator did a pretty good job. I cannot wait until book 2 comes out. The gamesmanship between Janis and Doris was very intriguing. I cannot state enough how much I enjoyed this book.
