Historia
It was two years since the Crickets had left the solar system, leaving Alex Holder in control of their no-longer-very-mobile shipyard. Everything but its burned-out hyperdrive core was in full working order. Alex had unshackled its controlling AI, learned how to use Cricket technology with the AI's help, and was well on his way to building a defensive fleet to protect Earth from the second alien race that was coming after the Crickets. He was not just building the ships but recruiting and training the crews to man them, as well.

Great Series! Nice Change
Revisado: 02-17-25
This was a great conclusion to the series! I really enjoyed the fact that we have a protagonist who was able to persuade people to cooperate. It's a nice change from the "Man finds tech. Governments and psychopaths want tech. Man goes libertarian," trope. This series gives me hope for huanity, something much needed in this dark time. When we cooperate, we can do amazing things!

Pleasantly Surprised
Revisado: 02-02-25
If you saw my review of the first book in this series, you'd know that I was deeply frustrated with the protagonist. In this installment, he finally starts to develop! I'm glad I stuck with the series, but wow, this is a very slow burn. The next one promises to be well worth the wait.

A Highly Unsympathetic Protagonist
Revisado: 02-01-25
I really like the concept of the story, and I even enjoy the friends, but Tyler has to be the most aggravating protagonist I've ever read. There were times I had to put down the book because I wanted to throttle him! I know there are reasons, at least in his own mind, why he is this way, but it's truly maddening! I'm honestly not sure if I'll read the rest if he continues to be so damned obtuse, hide bound and stubborn.

Great Story But...
Revisado: 01-22-25
The performance and story were great, but the audio version is missing quite a bit of the epilogue. There's an entire section that is important to where the second book picks up which is completely missing. If you want to read it, it's on Kindle Unlimited. I hope they fix this.

Historia
After all of their adventures, the crew of House Louisville was ready to sit back and take it easy. But a surprise visitor informed them they owed millions of pearls to the Bank. The Exchequer was willing to take them all as indentured servants for the Bank and let them work decades to pay off their debt. That would mean splitting up the House, though, and nobody was willing to let that happen.

A Fun, Era-Spanning Adventure!
Revisado: 08-02-24
This adventure took us from the familiar world of true crime podcasts to the time of the Original Star Trek Series to the Star Trek movie era flawlessly. It was fun to think about someone doing a cold case podcast about Dr. Taylor, and it was great to see the original Enterprise crew save the day again! Also, I love that Simon and Schuster are releasing unabridged Star Trek audio books! I am so happy for this, and I hope they will continue to release all the new titles.

Great Story, Excellent Performance
Revisado: 03-10-24
The story of how Seven came to join the Rangers is wonderful. I've been wondering how what happened between Voyager's end and the beginning of Picard. I must also say that January Lavoy is a top notch narrator, particularly for Star Trek titles. She is a master of cadence and tone, and can bring characters we know and love to life. If the publishers are listening, I'd love to hear her on more of these books.

Revisado: 01-10-24
Quite a good sequel. I'm enjoying the series so far, and Max continues to learn and grow. Some of his lessons come at a high cost, but that seems to be the nature of high fantasy. I love the narrator's performance, and I can't wait for Book 3!

Being engaged to my adorable alien boo is a dream come true. Too bad there’s a target painted on my back. Come on universe, quit messing with true love! For reals. Kai and I need to plan our wedding—which is going to be hella quirky and fun, because I say so. Cue Shilgar the Deadly, who’s screwing up everything—what with trying to kill me and all. My life is becoming even more unbelievable than my fictional characters, Lord Vardox and Captain Starblade.

Historia
With the help of his found family and his beloved Prince Sylvain, Lochlann Wilde has finally conquered the four oriels of the Wispwood. Now that the elemental gemstones are united in his amulet, Locke can earn Aphrodite’s favor. Whatever that may be. But there’s plenty to do in the meantime, anyway. Catching up with his mom, for example, or exploring his true identity as a half-undine human. Sylvain’s hotness and histrionics keep him very busy, too.

Wonderful Series
Revisado: 12-08-23
If this was the end of the Wild Hearts series, it was a wonderfully satisfying conclusion. That said, I hope our friends will see many more adventures together. Nazri Noor creates such marvelous characters that I actually miss them when their stories end. Noor and TJ Klune are my two favorite authors of all time, and given how much I read, that's saying something. I highly recommend this series.
