Historia
Rick Dockery was the third-string quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. In a championship game, to the surprise and dismay of everyone, Rick actually got into the game and then provided what was arguably the worst single performance in the history of the NFL. Overnight, he became a national laughingstock and, of course, was immediately cut by the Browns and shunned by all other teams. But against enormous odds, Arnie finally locates another team that will have him: the mighty Panthers of Parma, Italy.

Southern accent
Revisado: 01-05-25
Narrator couldn’t do a Southern accent. His imitation of a Southern college girl sounded more like an old black woman.

Historia
The scene is teeming Zanzibar just before the American Civil War, when the Isle of Cloves was a center of African slave trade. To it comes Hero Athena Hollis, a Boston bluestocking filled with self-righteousness and bent on good deeds. Then she meets Rory Frost, a cynical, wicked, shrewd and good-humored trader in slaves. Disappointing
Revisado: 02-20-23
I enjoyed “The Far Pavilions” but found “Trade Winds” an inferior book. The pace was too slow for me. The reader had a pleasant voice but had trouble pronouncing words correctly. The worst was substituting Ts for Ds such as saying Etwart for Edward. She could probably be coached.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

A Murder Mystery and a love story
Revisado: 08-24-22
I enjoyed the story and was moved by the beauty of the nature and poetry and brutal hardness. Throughout the trial i waited to hear from Chases wife or fiancee. Was she a suspect? Where was she? Couldn’t she at least testify?

no one could have survived
Revisado: 08-08-22
I am without words to describe this shocking and amazing true event. Good characters kept my interest and made the story move along with the volcano. John Lees voice and erudition are unsurpassed.

Another good book by Donati
Revisado: 07-24-22
I have been a fan since the Wilderness series. Sara creates the kind of women characters that I admire. I have to correct an error by a reader that said she didnt tell what became of Tonino - a character in a previous book. She did in fact follow through with him as with all the previous children. Read this book. Sue Harvey
