Historia
Camille Ashwood had always loved a plan. Her latest was her best yet. She was going to get married so she could secure her daughter’s future, get her overbearing parents off her back, and finally start building her own life in small town Meadowlark, Wyoming. Easy, right? But when her groom doesn’t show up to the wedding, Cam’s life is turned upside down—she doesn’t even have a place to live. That is, until she finds out the house she’s loved since high school is available to rent. There’s only one problem: the neighbor.

Cam SUCKS and her narrator isn’t much better
Revisado: 04-23-25
I really wanted to like Wild and Wrangled, but unfortunately, it was a struggle to get through—and that’s entirely due to Cam. She’s selfish, childish, and downright insufferable. Every decision she made felt immature and frustrating, making it hard to root for her or even tolerate her presence on the page. She also has no backbone with her parents but for some reason she thinks she’s a mature adult? She’s also never with her child in this book and the one time she is it’s at a coffee shop. Seeing as in the last book her baby daddy had their child all summer she should probably be around more.
The only redeeming quality of this book was Dusty, who absolutely carried the entire story. He deserved better—better writing, better character development, and definitely a better co-lead.
This could’ve been a great read, but with a main character as unbearable as Cam, it ended up being a disappointment.
Don’t get me started on chapter 40 oh no poor Cam your life is so hard. She’s so self centered I could pull my hair out!

I think they should have got another person to sing the songs
Revisado: 04-09-25
The female narrator is great for the story but not good enough to sing. I think they should have got a professional to sing the songs. It’s a bit hard to listen to the way it is.

Historia
The best way to get back at my horrible ex? Fake date Rory Miller--my ex's rival, the top scorer in pro hockey, and the arrogant, flirtatious hockey player I tutored in high school. Faking it is fun and addictive, though, and beneath the bad boy swagger, Rory’s sweet, funny, and protective. He teaches me to skate and spends way too much money on me. He sleeps in my bed and convinces me to break my just-one-time hookup rule. He kisses me like it’s real.

I don’t know how the female narrator got this job! I would suggest not listening to it and reading it the narrator sucks so bad!

Historia
Evie Sage has never been happier to be the assistant to The Villain. Who would have thought that working for an outrageously handsome, evil overlord would be so rewarding? Still, the business of being bad is demanding, the forces of good are annoyingly persistent, and said forbidding boss is somewhat . . . out-of-evil-office. But Rennedawn is in trouble, and all signs—Kingsley's included—point to catastrophe. Something peculiar is happening with the kingdom's magic, and it's made The Villain's manor vulnerable to their enemies . . . including their nemesis, the king.

The narrator was so awful in the first book, almost like siri. Why did they use her again. She puts the weirdest pauses in her sentences.

Historia
With ailing family to support, Evie Sage's employment status isn't just important, it's vital. So when a mishap with Rennedawn's most infamous Villain results in a job offer—naturally, she says yes. No job is perfect, of course, but even less so when you develop a teeny crush on your terrifying, temperamental, and undeniably hot boss. Don't find evil so attractive, Evie. But just when she's getting used to severed heads suspended from the ceiling and the odd squish of an errant eyeball beneath her heel, Evie suspects this dungeon has a huge rat . . . and not just the literal kind.

Worst narrator I’ve ever heard
Revisado: 11-25-24
I listen to a lot of books on audio and this narrator is in contender for worst voice ever. I do not think she should be doing this for a living it makes it almost unbearable to listen to the story. She sounds like the person who voices Siri.

Historia
Of all the things that could have landed in her yard, it had to be him. For most people, finding a half-naked superbeing in their yard might be a dream come true. Unfortunately for Gracie Castro, it’s the exact opposite. Especially when he’s grouchy, rude, and shows no signs of leaving anytime soon. But when a hero of mankind needs you, you do what you have to. Even if it compromises everything you know. And totally changes your life.

This is the worst book I’ve ever read
Revisado: 11-10-23
Let’s STOP writing characters who blame themselves for others bad habits and choices. Ali was trying too hard to cover every “YA” topic she could think of. The inner dialogue is so annoying I am not a fan of her talking to herself. And the blaming yourself for everything trope is the worst.
I also think her books would be SOOOO much better in two POVs instead of always just the fmcs. The mmc in this book was the only saving grace and kept me going (although he’s in it 5% of the book). I also think people should know this is NOT a romance book. Not sure why the cover says rivals to lovers (they aren’t even rivals). The FMC is “supposed” to be a modern feminist in a mainly man’s sport and the second she looses she is worried the the MMC is going to not think she’s good enough.
This book is awful and the way the fmc talks to the mmc when he’s trying to help her work through something is awful and not acceptable. Not sure how she goes from being a raging lunatic to kissing in the same chapter. I hope any young women reading this books realizes how awful she is and how unacceptable her actions are. I really hated this book and hope Bride (her next book) is better.
Also 3rd act conflict 🤮give me a break!
I think a lot of people are rating this book based on their love for Ali hazelwood and not the actual book. (P.S. Love theoretically and love on the brain we’re 5 star books for me) I rated this book based on the book not the author
