Historia
Twenty-five years after the end of the war, Noah Ainsworth is still preoccupied with those perilous, exhilarating years as a British SOE operative in France. A head injury sustained on his final operation has caused frustrating gaps in his memory—in particular about the agent who saved his life during that mission gone wrong, whose real name he never knew, nor whether she even survived the war.

The narrator was excellent. Easy to listen to. This is the first book that has offered real considerations for beginning how to navigate serious concerns legally, through health care providers, and emotionally.
I ordered the book to have easy access to the links and lists mentioned. I am grateful for this information and will refer friends and family members to get this book.

More graphic than the first in series
Revisado: 10-15-23
An interesting plot, with twists and turns, however much more violently graphic than the first in the series. Good character development.

When Misty was six years old, her family started to live and dress like the Amish. Misty and her sister were kept as slaves on a mountain ranch where they were subjected to almost complete isolation, sexual abuse, and extreme physical violence. When Misty reached her teens, her parents feared she and her sister would escape and took them to an Amish community where they were adopted and became baptized members. Misty was devastated to once again find herself in a world of fear, animal cruelty, and sexual abuse.

Gently Powerful
Revisado: 08-03-23
I was timid about delving into her story of abuse, but the more I listened I was fully compelled to keep listening.
Misty tells her empowering story with grace, strength, and gentleness .
