Historia
Historians have long told the story of America’s birth as the triumph of Jefferson’s democratic ideals over the aristocratic intentions of Hamilton. Chernow presents an entirely different man, whose legendary ambitions were motivated not merely by self-interest but by passionate patriotism and a stubborn will to build the foundations of American prosperity and power.

Riveting tale of our nation's birth
Revisado: 03-16-16
From beginning to end (possibly with the play by play of the Federalist Papers), I was drawn into this tale of a forgotten and misunderstood Founder of the United States. His life story, which is as compelling as any Hollywood script, mixes with the other characters and events that planted the seeds for the U.S. today. Granted, it helped to have a prior obsession with the musical Hamilton to help provide scaffolding for the events, and where the fictional account deviates.

Historia
When the Watson family—ten-year-old Kenny, Momma, Dad, little sister Joetta, and brother Byron—sets out on a trip south to visit Grandma in Birmingham, Alabama, they don’t realize that they’re heading toward one of the darkest moments in America’s history. The Watsons’ journey reminds us that even in the hardest times, laughter and family can help us get through anything.

Great!

We listened to this on our way to the civil rights institute in Birmingham. It was funny, touching and opened our eyes.
