I love Thomas Harris books. The Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon and Hannibal were bone chilling. I pre-ordered this book expecting a psychological thriller full off twists, grotesque, and barbaric characters ... sad to say, the political undertones regarding immigration and the basic story revolving around the search for Pablo Escobar's gold, in Miami .. was dull and kept me wondering whether this purchase was worthwhile. Ii was ... for all the wrong reasons.

I describe this book as "brilliant" because it is like none of the other, - hundreds of psychological novels that I have read. It begins slowly and "stuffy" - overshadowed with sadness. Without sudden awareness, I found myself caught u[ in an insane, yet believable, series of twists and turns that I ALMOST could predict. No spoiler alerts, but --- you will feel satisfied at the conclusion.
