I have always gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to my personal life. But everything changed when I met Alec Prescott. I couldn’t stand the cocky hotshot lawyer at first, but after assisting him on one case, my opinion changed drastically. He became the beginning I so desperately needed, even if romantic relations at work are completely forbidden. Unfortunately, falling in love with a coworker is the least of my problems. Funny thing about the past, it’s never truly far away. That’s where Tage Andrews comes in. He’s the heartache I can never outrun.

I love M. Never's writing, I love her story lines, I love her characters, and she also has awesome narrators. With that being said, this book left me wanting so much more. It feels incomplete. It's as though she got bored and said, "Okay, it can be over now because I don't want to write it anymore". It was abrupt, the villains didn't meet an ends and heros and heroine get no closure really. You get told that all parties are satisfied but the "ending" didn't really end anything. I was excited about this story when I started it but feel cheated by the ending, or lack thereof. I truly hope M. Never rewrites it to include more story or writes a second part to finish the story. I love you but redo this one please!

I love this story for so many reasons. This story, while very hot and steamy, has so much meaning and emotion. I certainly don't want to spoil it for you so I'll just say this...if 50 Shades of Grey had a love child with The Notebook, this story would be the beautiful gift that came from the two epic stories. I don't think I've ever been so emotional about a book ever. It's a fantasy but it hit home at the same time. You'll understand after you read/listen to this story. I truly do love it on multiple levels! This one will be with me for a long time to come!
