Historia
To the forest on the shore of the Kingdom of the Isles, the orphan Pug came to study with the master magician Kulgan. But though his courage won him a place at court and the heart of a lovely princess, he was ill at ease with the normal ways of wizardry. Yet Pug's strange sort of magic would one day change forever the fates of two worlds. For dark beings from another world had opened a rift in the fabric of spacetime to being again the age-old battle between the forces of Order and Chaos.

Just as I remember from reading it myself the audio performance was excellent Nicholas Guy Smith did an amazing job I can’t imagine another narrator for this book.

Historia
It's not easy being king. Especially when you've got an allergy to sunrise and sunset, a fire goddess for a mother-in-law, demonic adversaries, random assassins, and a basement full of insecurities to cope with. Add to that his daughter, the fire priestess/princess; a couple of lightly deranged professional magicians; a whole city full of wizards; and enough squabbling princes to resemble a kindergarten argument. It's enough to make a man want to just go home.

No character development, MC is Spineless, and women are portrayed as perfect.
Revisado: 10-07-20
I enjoyed the first one it wasn’t the best but it was decent I figured the Main character would start acting more like a grown man than a Damn doormat for any woman to use but if a man even looks at him funny off with his head.
In the second book but it didn’t happen in fact he actually got worse he puts the female characters on a pedestal and continues to treat them like goddesses rather than human beings. Never even so much as a harsh word in their direction even after they treat him like crap his response is Oh I Forgive you even when it’s something absolutely unforgivable and most of the male characters are portrayed as weak and incompetent
This book is obviously indicative of the authors own point of view and it’s sickening to me I’m done with the series and I wouldn’t recommend this feminist garbage to anyone. I do understand having respect for women but this book talks about women as if they’re deities and bashes men in the process.
Sorry for the rant but this book has a lot of poisonous ideas and I can’t condone them.
The narrator was the only reason I could listen to this book for as long as I did.
