This is one of my favorites! It’s very “Agatha Christie” with a romantic flair. Plot is intricate again, and it’s wonderful hearing Lady Beatrice out all the puzzle pieces together. The only thing that I don’t like is the constant mention of how “plain” she is. Love the magnifying g glass symbol!!! I can feel the love between them…it was there from the first instant they laid eyes on each other…❤️

So when a London dandy falls dead at her feet in the entryway of a London Daily Gazette, she feels no compulsion to investigate. It was a newspaper office, after all, and reporters are already on the case as are the authorities.

This was my least favorite book in the series. I didn’t think the characters well well drawn. The story was ridiculous. The two plots didn’t seem to merge. Celia’s character was annoying g, if anything. I was so disappointed, because I loved the last book.
