Historia
To me, that's all Lucian Aston is—a highly sophisticated, posh Englishman who stars in my daydreams. Mostly because of the way he views me as a loud, boisterous, no-nonsense surgical nurse he's stuck touring London and Paris with up to the day of his groundbreaking surgery. Until then, we've got a lot of downtime to kill. So, it's only natural that I put my best foot forward to get to know him a little better. Problem is Lucian has no intention of taking a single step in his fancy wingtips to meet me halfway. That is until we strike our deal.

Has it all
Revisado: 12-27-24
A story of substance featuring hilarity, love, friendship, healing, spice 🌶️, and a male character I couldn’t help but adore. As a nurse myself, I often struggle with the classic hot surgeon / nurse love story. HOWEVER, both characters in this book were depicted quite well with totally realistic personalities and backstories. Much more depth than a lot of romcoms without going overboard on the emotional side. Would absolutely recommend!

Historia
After her editor tells her she needs to "up the spice" in her books (literally Amber's worst nightmare...), she is at a crossroads of what to do with her career. When the opportunity arises to go on a writer's retreat at an exclusive château in the beautiful French Alps, Amber reluctantly agrees, hoping a change of scenery will help with inspiration. While she tries and fails to spice up her writing - with the unhelpful guidance of the eccentric romance writers at the château - she meets two leading men who cause her own real-life romantic comedy to unfold.

For five grand a month and a million-dollar chaser, Roger Mulligan didn't care how crazy the old geezer was. All he had to do was keep Joseph Perry Shackleford alive and keep him from squandering the estate for a year. But they didn't tell him about the pixies.

Excellent narration
Revisado: 11-28-24
An ex army medic takes a job as butler for an elderly wizard. I enjoyed the perspectives and inner dialogue of the main character, Roger. He is even keeled and strong while also gentle mannered, someone everyone could honestly learn from. The development of his character was well done, and he actually reminds me of a few army medics I have personally worked with. I grew to really love the old wizard and his humor. Their relationship is quite sweet.
The author has a great writing style, easy to listen and intelligently executed. Narrator was fantastic with all the different characters, I could even tell the difference between his female characters’ voices which is a talent many narrators don’t showcase well when voicing the opposite sex. Overall an excellent book.

Great series
Revisado: 11-25-24
Phenomenal narrator. This series is cute, not too violent but enough mystery to keep readers interested. I enjoy these stories in between listening to intense fantasy books. They’re light, the characters are well developed and lovable, plus there’s a cat.

Wow. Simply, wow. Readers are taken for a wild journey with this brilliantly written story, filled with intelligent twists and turns that keep the mind fully engaged and the heart trekking alongside. His writing style speaks to the soul with moments of pain, joy, love, time, and adventure. Truly a one of a kind, phenomenal book.

Daphne always loved the way her fiancé Peter told their story. How they met (on a blustery day), fell in love (over an errant hat), and moved back to his lakeside hometown to begin their life together. He really was good at telling it…right up until the moment he realized he was actually in love with his childhood best friend Petra. Which is how Daphne begins her new story.
