This book is great at going in depth on the battlefield prowess and methods Alexander used to defeat his adversaries, especially the Persians, and does not waste time on unnecessarily lengthy explanations of political nonsense. Solid depiction of his campaigns while explaining Macedonian nuances and other necessary details to make the campaign more interesting.

I've read all of Zeihan's books and this is by far the most down-to-earth and understandable look at how the future will (likely) look after de-globalization. The last chapter about agricultural changes and how that will affect the world shows the stark reality of how amazing the US experiment of globalization has worked in the last 80 years. This book should be mandatory in Agricultural, Political Science, and Economics curriculum in colleges. Solid research and presentation!

I really enjoyed reading this book! If you're a veteran, I think it will speak to you in a more profound way than it will to others. Definitely recommend it for passive reading, and Team Rubicon is a solid organization. Well done.

Should be required reading in high schools, colleges, and military. Smartly written data-analysis of geopolitics without emotional or political bias. Makes you realize everything that is sensationalized in the news (on both sides) is completely wrong and fails to look at the bigger picture.
