My favorite character voiced perfectly.
Revisado: 10-16-18
I really enjoyed this book when I read it a few years ago and Matthew quickly became my favorite character in the Wyrd. Finally hearing his story come to life was surreal. Michael dies a fantastic job breathing life into characters and makes it easy to tell who is speaking. I pleasantly surprised at how he voiced the demons, maybe a little frightened which is always fun.
I am looking forward to move of Cynthia's books being read outloud and I'm impatient to hear more of her characters being brought to life!

Historia
Between being hunted by vampires and her inability to control her siren's powers, all Adelle Constance wants is to be left alone. She runs from her home, hoping to lay low in the small Washington town of Whitmore. She didn't count on meeting Jack, a cranky 900-year-old dragon who, despite her protests, vows to protect her. She also didn't count on him being so deliciously attractive in that grumbling way.

Diving back into the Wyrd
Revisado: 02-27-18
I read this book years ago when it was first released, and I have read the other books in this series as well. It was nice to see that there were clues to future books already woven into the first story that I had long forgotten about. Listening to it has made me want to go back and read the other three books! It's a lovely introduction to the Wyrd and I fell in love with Jack all over again.
Michael did a fantastic job of brining the Wyrd characters to life. Jack was perfectly broody and Scottish while Anthony had that perfect refined disdain in his voice that never quite made it in my head when I read him on the page. I hope the author is able to convince Michael to do the other books as well, because I'm curious to see what he can do with the other characters.
