Cringy story, great spicy, great narration

I know that this is a series about taboo scenarios… but this was a no-go for me. If you forget the relationship between the main characters… sure! It’s just hot spicy bdsm scenes that fill the book. But when you consider the fact that he has been her literal father figure since she was 7 and she reminisces on being a kid with him and calls him daddy… it is cringy. I’m all for taboo when done correctly… but this didn’t feel like it was done well enough to overcome that cringe. 2.5 stars is being generous, 4/5 for spice level just because of the bdsm and DVP scene. That being said, the narrators were *chefs kiss*.

I really wanted to get through this book. The plot was intriguing to me (although it did seem to drag a bit) but I couldn’t listen to the narrators anymore. The voices did not fit the characters in my opinion. It seemed like the writing tried to portray Thomas as sort of mysterious and hunky but the narrator made him sound totally opposite of that. Like in no way would Grace be attractive. And the female narrator sounded much to old, it was like listening to the a grandmother talk about smut. It felt very awkward. Unfortunately I had to dnf because of the narrators.

Great story, and one great narrator

I loved the story and the female narrator. The male narrator, however, is not my style. He made quite a few mistakes that were pretty obvious while reading, and his enunciation is a bit odd. That being said, not everyone has the same taste and overall it did not keep me from finishing the series!
