Elyse Douglas has done it again. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book; so much so that I had trouble putting it down. I loved the storyline and the ending, both very well done.

I didn't expect it to be so enjoyable

I found the story telling dragged me in. It was a little slow at first but I see now it was necessary to build the story. The characters were interesting. I may have done a different voice on a couple of the characters but overall, as usual, John Skelley did a great job as narrater. I need to add that in particular, I loved the ending! I didn't except that. Wish I could say more about that but, spoilers!

I usually just listen to my audiobooks on my long drive to and from work, but this one took over my cooking time, tv time, house cleaning time, and lunch hour.
I have enjoyed all of M. R. Carey's work so far, but this one really impressed me.
Just started second book in the series. So far, so good
