I was hoping this series would get better. I wanted it to get better but the weakness of the main character has plucked my last nerve. How can you love him and can't Iive without him but you're afraid of him. Anytime she shows an ounce of standing up for herself, somehow she's made to feel bad about it. She showed more backbone to the guy that kidnapped her than to her own boyfriend. Her kidnapper gave her way more info about her situation than her boyfriend ever did and gave you more respect. I was hoping for a plot twist but no, after all she sees and all she endures, as soon as she sees him she runs right back to him.

The possessiveness of the main male character is unreal. And the anger issues are on another level. I get he's a demon but seriously. Oh and it's the "you only get to know what I want you to know" for me. And is it me or does he control her using sex (hello...son of the demon God of Lust)? That's all she talks about where he's concerned, sex and how beautiful he is. Maybe if she got a taste of his brother she could would see that she could have good sex and someone that actually values her opinion. Just saying.

I'm two chapters away from the end of the book and unless something really good happens this will be the last. This book has triggered me something fierce. If you've never been in a relationship with a controlling person maybe you would think this kind of possession was intense or romantic; it is neither. It is toxic. I will say one thing, this series particularly this book has invoked a reaction out of me.

As a parent this one hit home. Good listen. nice narration. It made me quite emotional and triggered all my protective instincts.

I gave the story four stars because it was hard to listen to the things his foster mom made him do and believe. It didn't seem unbelievable that a person could be so brainwashed. i hated he had no backbone whatsoever.

The narrator was great. This book made laugh while having a decent story line. Only issue, I dont like how Jackson harps on how Leland isnt a good person and thinks that by keeping him locked up in the house that will change him. How do you tell a grown man what he's allowed to do? It just annoyed me how rightous Jackson was in the beginning. He hated that his mom wouldnt accept that he was gay but he turns around does the same thing to Leland (being a hitman not about being gay). Its all he knows and instead of utilizing his skills, he keeps calling him a bad person. If he was a bad person, he would have killed Henry and greeted you with a smile when you got home. (Was on my soapbox for a moment, but a sign of how invested i was in the story)

The story was really good and narrator took it to another level.

I get that its fiction but good fiction has a ring of truth. There was nothing believable about the story. And the overly bitchy, I can barely do anything, pay attention to me attitude of the pregnant omega is insulting.

So I'm all for a light hearted dom/sub romance story. Some of them can get a bit dark, but i had a hard time finishing this one. One of my favorite male voices was narrating this book and it still made me stop a few times because of the story line. I can overlook that the leading Male character is merely a publisher with the fighting skills of a Navy seal and that he has a convert friend in Hunter. But I yelled at my phone when he offered the guys who has been trying to kill him the entire book 100 million dollars a year for the rest of his life if he leaves the leading female alone. The f**k! And let's not forget Mia the weird dorm RA. How do you sneak into someone room while they are alsleep, spend over 10 minutes breaking into their laptop (not including time searching on it), have a conversation with the person that broke into the room with you and not get caught until you break the laptop. And the ridiculous fight scene. Everything just seemed underdeveloped. I love a good story and this had potential but it fell short.
