Great short stories and performance
Revisado: 02-24-21
This was a great set of short stories. Most of them are just 20 minutes long and hold true to the original Conan Doyle style. The cast is very good. I did find that the person doing Sherlock spoke too quickly so I slowed the speed to ×80 and that worked just fine.

The prodigal brother enters Mark's study, the parlor maid hears arguing and the brother dies...rather suddenly, with a bullet between the eyes. The study is locked from the inside and Mark is missing! Investigating the crime is wealthy Antony Gillingham, who rivals Sherlock Holmes in his remarkable powers of observation.

Loved this book. Terrific story, unexpected twists and fun characters. The narrator was great. Sometimes I got a little confused on who was talking between the main characters but I usually figured it out quickly.

Historia
The tide is turning against the colonists in the Revolutionary War, and 18-year-old Elizabeth Morris cannot sit by idly. Quietly disdainful of her Tory parents, who drag her along to society events and welcome a British soldier into their home during their occupation of New York City, Elizabeth decides to take matters into her own hands. She realizes that, as a young woman, no one around her believes that she can comprehend the profound implications of being a nation at war - she is, effectively, invisible. And she can use this invisibility to her advantage.

A BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation starring June Whitfield as Miss Marple, the deceptively mild spinster sleuth. Wealthy businessman Rex Fortescue is found dead with rye grain in his pocket. His death is followed in quick succession by a woman dying while eating bread and honey, and a maid in her garden. Inspector Neele, in charge of investigating the spate of murders, consults with Miss Marple, who has an interesting and surprising theory to offer.
