A little predictable as all romances are, but along the way, some exciting twists, and turns
Looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Alex Windham is one of the great narrators. He makes the story come to life.

Historia
When their elderly guardian dies, Faith Whitford is determined to set up house in Bath and look for respectable country gentlemen for her four sisters. She has no ambitions for mingling with the ton. What she did not expect was a new guardian, in the form of a London Beau to be appointed over them, nor that he would take any interest in their care.

Historia
"I'm going to die a hundred years before I was born...." The handwritten note was in a dusty trunk that sat in a cave untouched for 150 years. What did the words mean? When journalist Ray Burton finds the trunk near the Arizona ghost town of Hollow Rock, his life changes in an instant. Something in the trunk shouldn’t be there. This begins a dangerous journey of discovery bordering on the impossible. A discovery that will affect the past, the present, and the future.

The amount of accurate research was amazing. Good job. I would have preferred to have listened to a narrator who had more ability with changing from male to female voices.

Clean love story set in 18th century England.
Revisado: 03-09-24
Stella Riley never fails to deliver excellence and this is no exception. It is written in the “Rockford” style and the characters from her other books made a cameo appearance.
Alex Wyndham does a great job narrating this book.
I highly recommend this book.

Historia
As a lady's companion, Clara Hartwright never receives much attention from anyone. And that's precisely how she likes it. With a stormy past, and an unconventional plan for her future, it's far safer to remain invisible. But when her new employer is invited to a monthlong holiday at a remote coastal abbey, Clara discovers that she may not be as invisible as she'd hoped. At least, not as far as one gentleman is concerned.

It was nice to read a clean romance and not have it boring. Alex Wyndham is the perfect narrator and masterfully changes his voice for each character and accent.
I enjoyed all four books, but each book can be read on its own.
The correct details in the book shows Mimi Matthews did a lot of research.

Historia
This book deals with subjects such as anxiety, depression, marriage, suicide, child sexual abuse, adolescences, and stress. Based on actual case studies, this book is presented in simple, lucid language, devoid of technical jargon. Most books in this category are useful as guides for professionals or students of psychology, who are well-versed with theory but need practical insights. But this book is primarily for lay people; for them to obtain a better understanding about themselves and to provide insights to caregivers....

A Precious Gem - Beautiful and Profound Insights
This is an amazing precious gem of profound insights in the field of mental illness.
Rather than being a dreary narrative (which is what I was anticipating) this book is a compelling, sparkling ,compassionate view of the relationships between a mental health counselor and his counselees.
Wonderful insights are useful for everyday relationships, like "Never challenge another person's reality." A beautiful and compassionate insight that opens the door to deeper and more fruitful relationships and communication.
The insights provided are useful for anybody in any human relationship.
The presentation is simple (but not simple-minded) and straightforward.
This makes it easy to transfer the situations related to the variety of one's own relationships, with family, friends and co-workers. The insights are complete and exquisite, well-documented and well-nuanced.
This is a book I am going to listen to again and again.
I know that each time I listen I will gain deeper understanding of patterns so important in our everyday world.

Finally a love story with some depth.
Revisado: 07-11-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Longing to be better than the print version?
I never read the book. Loved this audio.
What about Rosalyn Landor’s performance did you like?
She had a varied range in her voice. I was able to easily understand which character was speaking.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Longing to belong.
Any additional comments?
This is the best book Mary Balough has written. It has less fluff and a lot more substance. I now want to learn more about the Welsh culture.
