Difficult!!!

I love Lani Lynn Vale.... this is very hard for me to say.... not a fan of this one.
Story was lacking and just didn’t feel like what LLV usually writes. So much of this story felt as if you were either dropped in the middle of it and the ending felt as if so much was left without closing it out.
Might of been saved had the narrators been better - couldn’t get into these 2 at all.

The first 2 books were cheezy but had some good laughs. This one is just plain dumb and boring! Hard time with Rory being the daughter of one of the Bradford boys and him being just outright awful towards her. Listening to his story before and in the epilogue him basically being wrapped around the kid's fingers - doesn't make sense for him to be so gawd awful mean to her. Stopped at Chapter 27 and couldn't with over 4 hours left - which is another thing way too long and drawn out!
Won't even try the rest of the series.

After seeing some of the reviews I was excited to start this. I tried sooooo hard to get into this story but it was really just plain boring and drug on and on. The narrators were so so - I haven't heard them before and in the beginning, they really got on my nerves but as it went on I got used to them although the male is very slow and even when speeding it up it didn't help.
I am sure others will enjoy this - as you can see from the other reviews but I stopped with only about an hour left cause I just couldn't do it anymore.

Do your research please!!!

I know this is a fiction story but if you are going to write about an actual city - please do your research about that city. I live in Henderson, Nevada and the way you describe it is so far from what it is actually is that I couldn't even finish listening to this. Please if you are going to talk about a real place - at least do your research about it and/or don't make it into something completely different then what it is. You make Henderson sound as if it is miles and miles away from Las Vegas - and it is literally only a very short distance. Also, you talk about the city as if it is old and "shady" with all this illegal stuff happening. Henderson is a beautiful city - sure it has "old' not so great part but come on the way you describe it is just ridiculous.

Really Wanted To Like It

I really wanted to be able to give it 5 stars but just couldn't. The storyline was dragged out and it probably didn't help that the male narrator talked so slow - I even speed it up to 2x and I just felt like I was motioning the whole time "come one..spill it"
Bummer!
I will say there is one part that was so funny that I laughed so hard I cried - ;)

Lani Lynn Vale is one of my favorites! There have been a few that have come out recently that have been a bit slow and just haven't been as grand as the majority of her books. I was so thrilled with this one! Love how she has all these series and they are all connected. How in the world she can keep all of the names and characteristics of each character straight with so many of them is truly amazing! Keep them coming!!!

I Really Tried

I really tried to get into this book. Chapter 15 is where I just couldn't continue. The story has so much filler - very long and drawn out. I just couldn't listen to them anymore being so dumb! You are a firefighter and you risk your career cause she is a hotel you got a call for and you take her into the bathroom while the guys are outside waiting for you. COME ON! Also - being a GM of a hotel why would you risk your career by going into storage closets and being beyond loud - when you have access to any room - REALLY?

Saw the good reviews and thought I would give it a try.
Couldn’t get into the story and definitely didn’t enjoy this narrator. Please don’t let him try and do a females voice.... awful.

Wanted to give it a 5 But..,

If you are going to have the main character be Cuban... then please have someone narrate it that has the accent or don’t have them fake it. It was painful listening to him attempt the accent. I really like Sean as a narrator but this one was awful.

Not Kristen Usual

The Rock Chick series is one of my favorite and I have really enjoyed Kristen Ashley as an author but this one is not what I would have expected from Kristen. This is more of a young adult book. Pretty boring and especially considering how great the Rock Chick series was.
