Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Not What I Expected
Revisado: 05-10-25
I had been told by so many people that I would like this series if I liked The Lord of the Rings trilogy. While Sanderson definitely dives into a lot of details in this book I don’t think it compares to Tolkien. Sanderson definitely does a lot of world building in this book and towards the end it definitely got interesting with the truths you learn. Tolkien definitely does a lot more family lineage and that’s what I loved about his world he created. Sanderson does a lot more character development and world building with the main characters he’s chosen to wrap the story around. I will definitely be picking up the other books in this series to see where he takes their stories but I need a little bit of a break between books.

Everyone wants ownership, but almost no one gets it. Whether we’re talking about the start-up game, the crypto game, the freelance game, or the lemonade stand game—most paths to ownership lead to dead ends. That’s why Codie Sanchez carved a new, smarter path to total freedom. In Main Street Millionaire, she reveals the method she teaches her community of seven-figure investors for building wealth by creating a portfolio of boring businesses. That’s right—the money is not in flashy startups or in the corner office.

A Millionaire Whose Really For the People
Revisado: 05-01-25
Codie does such a phenomenal job of explaining how someone can go out and start buying businesses to build their own empire. I think the best part about the whole book is she doesn’t try to scam you into believing that if you do these 3 things everything will be perfect. She flat out says you need grit and a heart for taking risks. She ran through so many phenomenal things in this book. I do believe there are some deeper levels of knowledge one will need to successfully take over someone else’s business than what’s offered in this book but she definitely gives you a great foundation to start with. Definitely going to be utilizing the resources she shared in this book for scoping out my future as a business owner.

The Perfect Roadmap to Worthiness
Revisado: 03-18-25
Jamie gives us such beautiful knowledge in her book to help us discover our own worthiness. Shes so open with her own stories of her life and the stories of her close relationships that it helps us to connect to her in our own imperfect ways. So often self help books leave someone feeling that the author is some how in a different realm of knowing or being leaving the readers feeling like the level of achievements the author is experiencing will never come into their own life. Jamie dives in deep making sure she shares stories of hope starting at the very bottom and brings everyone along for the ride up to the top. Although she writes this book to connect to women as a guy I was still able to get a lot from this book.

Historia
Avan Jogia grew up as a teen idol. He stumbled into the spotlight during the birth of the internet, the early days of Instagram and Twitter, before everyone online was a star. He spent his time in that spotlight writing, observing the cult of celebrity, the hilarity, the absurdity, and sometimes sinister side of being idolized before you’ve even had the chance to decide for yourself who you are. Now, in his most revealing and honest work to date, he has assembled a book of poems as an act of self-dissection.

The Ugly Side of Hollywood Revealed Again
Revisado: 02-14-25
Avan definitely has a way with his words. You can tell he has a deeper way of seeing the world than most. So many of the poems he wrote hit home for me as well as painted a picture of his experiences as a child actor who grew up in the industry. He shared his honest thoughts and experiences without shying away from a lot of the things people like to hide in Hollywood. He shared his pains and his love with us in a beautiful degree of words. It was painful to hear of some of his experiences and how so many of the connections he made in life fell short because people couldn’t see past his celebrity label. He made me want to reach out to him and invite him into my peace that I have found in life and allow him to just exist away from all the things that weight him down in life.

The Story to Bring Worlds Together
Revisado: 02-09-25
RK’s story has such a strong message of the importance of love and connection. His story will open the eyes of people on all sides of this battle for love and acceptance. As a fellow lgbt community member I can confirm that him sharing his journey of football gave me insight to a world I had never thought anything about. I can only hope that his story can be a bridge for those who know him from his football journey will cross the bridge to a new understanding of what it means to be lgbtqia+.
This was such a touching story from the beginning to the end. Being someone who recently connected with RK I can say that the man he’s become is so much more than he gives himself credit for in this book. His heart is so big and the work he’s doing to spread the message of love in this world is so powerful. Can’t wait to see where he goes next in life.

These governments and corporations have too much power, and their power stems from us - from our data. Privacy is as collective as it is personal, and it's time to take back control.

Our technology is evolving very quickly and it’s so important for us to realize the importance of protecting our rights to privacy.

A New Way to See the World
Revisado: 01-24-25
This book really helps breakdown some barriers that we as humans are facing in today’s world. I will probably listen to it a few more times because I still felt some resistance to some of the things he shared in this book. I’ve broken away from the corporate world years ago and I realized that it’s taken me years to clean my mind of their way of doing things. So as I dive deeper into this new way of living I know I’ll need the lessons of this book to help me clean out my mind of all the poisons the darkness had instilled in my mind over the years.

Revisado: 01-01-25
It was such a pleasure to read this book. As a coach myself I felt inspired to read this book because Mel is someone I look up to. Getting to see how she framed her thoughts around the Let Them theory it empowered me to keep writing my book. It’s so easy to think someone else has already done what you’re doing and there’s no point in you doing it again. But after this book I’ve come to the realization that my approach will be unique to me and be exactly what someone needs.

A Religious Story of a Seagull
Revisado: 08-19-24
I love stories like these where it makes so much sense when you listen to the story about the seagulls and how they navigated life and flying but then when you think about how us as humans have done the same things you start to wonder at what point are we now in the book. I definitely want to live my life more like Jonathan Livingston Seagull. What a beautiful literary journey this book takes you on in such a short period of time.

Historia
When the rallying cry “Black Lives Matter” was heard across the world in 2013, Andre Henry was one of the millions for whom the movement caused a political awakening and a rupture in some of his closest relationships with White people. As he began using his artistic gifts to share his experiences and perspective, Henry was aggrieved to discover that many White Americans - people he called friends and family - were more interested in debating whether racism existed or whether Henry was being polite enough in the way he used his voice.

An Excellent Perspective to Help Open the Eyes of the World
Revisado: 01-31-24
I am writing this from a gay white male perspective. I throughly appreciated the opportunity to be given an education on a perspective I haven’t been able to obtain through conversion with people around me. There were definitely parts where I felt triggered and I made sure I wrote those moments down so I could reflect on why those feelings came up and how I could create more space in my reality to accept the realities being shared with me in this book. This world has so far to go when it comes to abolishing racism and other held prejudices but I truly believe that books like this one will play an important role in that progress. There were moments where I felt hopeless that the right changes could happen but the chapters in this book gave phenomenal insights into the roles we need to step into as humans on this earth to start seeing the world as it should be. A world where humanity isn’t defined by a specific race but celebrates everyone’s heritages. We all need to open our eyes to the changes that need to happen and take drastic actions to bring ourselves into that new world. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who needs their minds made more aware of the roles white supremacy has played in the history and present day problems we face as a world.
