The Voice!!! 😣
Revisado: 08-28-20
I couldn't get past chapter 1. The narrator was monotonous, and could not do male voices.
i might try again much later when i don't have anything to read but for now im moving on
after listening to Davina Porter, Kirsten Potter, Ashford macnab, and Moira Quirk, this voice is flat...

Amazing!!
Revisado: 07-11-16
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book is not a light read, it’s heart breaking and soul retching. This is a very sad, depressing and heart moving story of a Witch from Napoli Alessandra, told by her then teenage photographer. The book is about her life and the unfortunate events that take place. The life that she comes from and how she tries to better herself inspite of everything. How she believes in her abilities as a medium against all speculations. The main story is about her going on a tour with Camillo Lombardi, how she turns him from a skeptic to a believer. There is so much to say about this book but that w0uld only give the story away. It is a moving tale and one not to be read lightly. I immensely enjoyed this book in every way. The narrator that was chosen also did a superb job, I’ve known him from other books I’ve read and am already a fan of his. I would love to read more books by Michael Schmicker!!!

Amazing!! Can't stop raving about this book!!
Revisado: 07-07-16
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
Hahaha, I love the beginning!! It’s just so cool and hilarious! I know I’m gonna love the rest of the book!!!
I have just finished the book and can safely say that I’m emotionally winded!! OMG!! The book is a rollercoaster ride and a wonderful one at that. The synopsis of the book is so totally off point. It summarizes that the book is about a new bride on the way to her honey moon who falls in love with the person she sits next to on the plane. This is sooo wrong. She doesn’t fall for the guy next to her in a single plane ride. The fact that she’s stranded on a deserted island for 5 months with this guy is totally missed out. I know the author tried us make it out so we don’t feel like castrating Liam towards the end of the book where Joanna understands, or is supposed to understand what Liam when through and how he’s devoted to his baby daughter and all that. Frankly he’s a pathetic excuse for a man. I just want to tie him up to a pole and set fire to him. Let’s not forget the champaign while we watch him burn. I loved that Joanna is a woman of strong character, a person who stood by her man even though she had no ideas if he was alive or not. Something we can’t say for the ‘Swine’! How she picked herself up and made things happen for herself after everything and everybody seemed to be against her. I just loved Joanna! I couldn’t help rooting for her verbally out loud while I was reading this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would love to read more from this particular author. It’s a shame this is a stand alone title, would have loved a series where Liam and Joanna are pitted against each other more often.

Amazing Cozy Read
Revisado: 02-20-16
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are 100% my own.
The beginning is wonderful, a real grabber, starts out with a child who has found out she’s adopted cause both her birth parents are deceased and wants Amelia to go looking for her Grand Parents so she can get a better understanding of how her parents used to be. Now that’s the start, as the story goes on you see Rick’s obsession with food get deeper as does Rick and Amelia’s attraction to each other . All done in a very PG (cozy) manner. We see Rick being a very polite and caring person. Someone who would put his girl (bird) first. We also learn a lot about Ireland and their customs and how strong their belief in religion is, and how far they are willing to go for their religion. As Amelia goes about interviewing all the different relatives we see that they’ve now come to their senses and would like bygones to be bygones. How they regret their harsh behavior of youth. And how they let history repeat itself. In the end we are awarded to a really great surprise. I also enjoyed the banter that Amelia and Rick have about their ‘bucket lists’. Which is a real laugh. All in all, this is a really sweet cozy romance with a mysterious twist to it, and I’d love to read more of Linda Weaver Clarke’s books.

Revisado: 11-02-15
Disclosure: This book was generously provided to me by the Author in Audible format in exchange for an honest review. Of which I will try to do my best.
I was assured that this book was a 'clean read' but still romantic with a mystery. This I found very intriguing as you don't find many such books. I love my mysteries but put up with the explicit scenes. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was well written, though much too short for my liking. Usually I'm left wanting more after reading such a short book. But with this new series Linda Weaver managed to pull off the following. The mystery of the missing person that they try to uncover slowing, the slow and gradual growing understanding and appreciation of Amelia and Rick and the growing romance between William and his lady friend. All of which seem to happen simultaneously, as they follow William's diary. You've the MIB bad guys following them and the beautiful Bali island that is described in such a way that you can picture the scenery in your minds eye. I also enjoyed the Bucket list that Rick convinced Amelia on starting. I definitely have added Bali to my Bucket List!!
I can't wait to be able to read more of the Amelia Moore titles, I've noticed that they are available on Kindle but not yet on Audible. I think I'll wait for the Audible versions to come out as I really enjoyed Diane Lehman's narration. She's got a beautiful voice and I'll surely be looking for more titles by her.

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this book, initially I thought it was a YA book and was about to pawn it off to my daughter, and then the sex seen was so intense I quickly told my daughter she wasn't able to read it!
I can't wait for the rest of the books to come out in audible, though I might just read them on my kindle too. They are hilarious and serious at the same time.

Definitely and defiantly NOT Steig Larsson!
Revisado: 09-06-15
I've just started this book after much anticipation for it's release, so far it's holding up to everything the previous titles in the series had.
Detailed review to follow once I've done listening.
****
I'm enjoying the story but I miss the old narrator, yes Simon Vance is a great narrator but for me his voice didn't suit this book.
While reading you can very distinctly tell that it's been written by another author, even though the characters are the same. The one thing that jumps out at you is that Mikael's lost his charm. Where women just fall into bed with him or want to fall into bed with no actual rhyme or reason to it. But it in no way deviates us from the actual story, just modifies the characters, character!
****
I'm nearly finished with this book, just under an hour to go. None of Steig Larsson's Lisbeth Salander books took me this long to finish. Plainly said the story is there, but the magic isn't. I can't think of any other way of putting it. The way DL portrays Lisbeth and Mikael is so much different from the way Steig had developed their characters and frame of mind. They are not so strong and defiant as the way Steig protrayed them.
I might now go for the next in this series if there ever will be one.

Surprising turn of events!!
Revisado: 06-26-15
Surprised!! That's the only word that comes to mind. I must say I was initially disappointed when I got to the idea that Kat wanted to be changed. I felt well that's sad, she's not going to be different any more. Just another vampire. And then we find out that she not only has special powers but is averse to human blood and only craves vampire blood! How cool and twisted is that!!! And her mother that this irate irritation and immense hatred to vampires is actually now a vampire! I must say I was blown away. I've thoroughly enjoyed this book just as I've done the rest of the series.
